Yeah they played well, but it I'm being honest, 100t isn't gonna make champs. Lev, NRG, G2 are all gonna make it through points and all 3 of them will eliminate 100t when Americas playoffs comes around
good thing that we got the easier group ,idk how the points situation is tbh tho
you do know 2 teams qualify through qualifying and 2 through points so that means 100t can def make it through points if they were to be eliminated by these teams
Imagine saying burnt out when you get max 4-5 international tourneys, these people come from CS where there is a LAN every 2-3 weeks.

at least heretics were competitive internationally for a year, 100t are genuinely a fluke who got lucky that the best team itw (LEVIATAN) isn't here because they lost in online qualifiers BEFORE they won, so its not even a tournaments with the best teams currently, its the best teams in an online qualifier two months ago
genuinely asking how is ewc not a s tier event all T1 teams international high prize pool every team is trying it is literally valorant's equivalent of dreamhack/ESL we need to stop calling every non vct event mickey (not worth watching) because it gives us more events if every non vct event is mickey no events will ever pick val up
it’s the fact that a lot of players and coaches don’t view EWC as prestigious as the riot held events. im sure few teams really tried but i doubt most prepared as much as they would for masters/champs
great riot held events are S+ the peak of the game u won a trophy/ring if u win a vct event they are closer to CS majors

online qualifiers for a non vct event is fine as long as the event itself is on LAN with all T1 players who are trying and they are trying LEV choked the qualifiers upsets happen

yeah that is because of single elim again ewc isn't equal to a masters/champs it is lower then that but that isn't saying much because a masters/champs is the PEAK of the game meaning it is still S tier
Online qualifiers, single elimination, LEV wasn't part of it, low view count, and no champs points which are important for the most important tournament of the entire year.
The only thing that's S Tier about this tournament is the prize pool which just devolves the tournament into a cash grab.
Online qualifiers are completely fine for a non vct event (non major/ring events in other esports have online qualifiers too im pretty sure)

I just can't take tournaments seriously when qualifications are done online. But I guess that argument will become moot next year.
I brought up champs points as an argument because the qualifiers ended literally days before Masters London started and EWC was scheduled right between London and Stage 2. Teams will always prioritize VCT and the EWC scheduling directly messes with that. If EWC was scheduled better, or even turned into an off-season event, then it wouldn't have the asterisk of teams using EWC to experiment and gain high level reps for VCT.
Just another asterisk to EWC. We can't claim the tournament was highly competitive when we didn't have our current winners participating.
EWC is an international event but had similar, if not worst, viewercount as regionals.
It sounds like you're at least not equating this event to a Masters or Champs event, so I can agree with you that it's similar to DreamHack at most. So like an S Tier mickey.
You cannot call an event a major if the best team in the world currently isn't even playing in it. EWC is equivalent to winning Americas final, not a masters or champs
