They really dont want it as bad in NA, we saw it first hand with the 100T match today and with the P0ppin stuff too. La Passion is just not there, teams dont want it as bad and they dont even try for it. C9 and 100T are the best examples of this, both orgs with capabilities to replicate what the Top Teams do BUT THERES JUST NO PASSION TO DO SO. Theyre just a bunch of Paycheck stealers at this point while you have Talent like NiSMO who's been grinding his years away in Tier2 just for bums to be recycled over and over and over again in Tier1 to produce 0 reuslts.

Flair of doom and despair

NRG literally won champs and G2 have made every single international since Shanghai. Sure they mightve not won jackshit but theyve had high placements and they strive to reach there atleast

Yeah but their point is that they're at least somewhat passionate about the game

its the truth south america has the passion but lacks fundamentals and igls meanwhile in north america they have everything needed they just dont care even g2 are a bit complacent i swear if you deleted their bank accounts tmrw they are the best players in the game. we will continue to see asia takeover simply because of the work ethic and mechanics combination

2027.

Incentive corruption is when a system’s rewards and penalties are structured in a way that pushes people to behave in ways that are misaligned with the system’s stated goals. For esports, that's franchising and the partner system. There is no real downside to underperforming as long as you maintain a minimal level of contribution to the ecosystem.

For Teams: Focus is on the relationship with Riot through the partner system. Maintain this relationship and there is no fear of losing status, even into 2027.

For players: Since there is no relegation, there is no incentive to try beyond the status quo. One simply needs to "stay on the team" to continue to exist in VCT. Best way to do that is to be friendly with coaching staff and managers.

being friendly wont make you keep your spot. Hell, even playing decently AND being friendly, you still might get sacked

there are plenty of examples that prove this wrong (xeppaa, asuna, jessievash, immi, zellsis, xqq)

what he said is 100% right, in franchising as is there is no risk of the brand falling out of the ecosystem unless you can't pay

it's visible across other esports too, why do you think all the best players are european and asian? because north america doesn't take esports seriously

all the best players are asian and european but every single time people travel they talk about NA ranked being the hardest. All the best players are asian and european but NA has the most champs wins. All the best players are asian and european but NA has the most trophies overall in the pre and post franchising era. Ball dont lie

I agree a bit but the teams that won champs were rookies that wanted to win so bad and had that passion

na ranked is hardest because na ranked is full of aimers. aimer culture is way bigger in NA than it is elsewhere, most of the best aimers in other regions make it to pro rather than just stay at the top of ranked. why do you think the NA ranked culture is as bad as it is when you get to immo/radiant, and why it's nowhere near as bad elsewhere

val is a riot game, it already has been usurped by apac talent wise and will when it comes to trophies too. Val is the only esport where NA has the prestige it does. NA LoL and CS are a joke and have been for years.

also ??? apac has the most trophies now
americas: champs 23, madrid, champs 25
emea, lock//in, tokyo
apac: shanghai, bangkok, toronto, santiago
CN: champs 24

Apac ranked is and has been said to be harder than NA
EU ranked has the largest ranked ladder

Apac has more trophies than NA and thats not including china, which is in your inclusion of "asians"

hence
Asians > North Americans > Europeans

get rekt noob

I thought nismo didn’t want to go to t1

Anyways there are paycheck stealers in every region (and atleast our paycheck stealers don’t place 11-12th every single stage) so I wouldn’t say it’s an NA problem

NA league just makes me sad to watch atp the entire region is far too mental boomed to play better they need a run desperately but I doubt it can even happen

top ten baseless speculations of all time
just because he trusts himself to play a pivotal role in the gameplan does not mean he is IGLing for himself
putting yourself in the best position to win the round is common sense, not ego
C9 looked like a top team itw during the offseason until they dropped him, just to be exceptionally mid for the rest of the year

What do you mean saw it with p0ppin? They lost 13-4 x2 on maps. What do you want him to do, cry? Instead, he started streaming ranked and grinding same day. I don't get the narrative here. He also isn't IGL anymore, so what is the direct blame on him for? ENVY played bad as a team. I also think the Veto is just horrible on Fracture.

You don't see behind the scenes. Why do you take everything you see as face value? You think they don't have conversations as a team? You think they don't want to win?

Chronically online loser, you have 4879 posts on this platform only spreading hate. If you hate so many things in this world at some point you must look inward. You hate yourself and the life you live so instead of sitting in that feeling you constantly project those feelings to the world and things around you. I know you haven’t made a single notable achievement in your life so you cannot begin to understand what it is like at the highest level of anything. Usually if you have no understanding of something the best way to proceed is to keep quiet.
