Chronicle betrayed FNC for no reason.

He was a core part of the roster, someone the team trusted and built around, even when he had pathetic perfomances like that game vs. PRX and Champs 2025 GF. Fnatic gave him the structure, the support, and the platform to perform at the highest level. Walking away from that was him turning his back on a team that had already proven it could work if he had just a little bit of patience. What makes it worse is that the move does not even hold up that well under scrutiny. The money was not significantly better, so it is not like he secured a life changing deal that justified doing it. And competitively, there was no guarantee that Vitality would achieve more than Fnatic. He left a stable, functioning system for uncertainty and a little extra money, breaking a roster that had real potential in the process and betraying their trust.

So it isn't possible to frame this as a calculated upgrade. It was a gamble, and one that came at Fnatic’s expense. He didn't care about the consquences, he just thought "more money = good" and left people who considered him their family. He chose to walk away from something solid without a clear, undeniable reason, and that is exactly why it's a betrayal. Chronicle, you will NEVER win another trophy. You can leave as many teams as you want and chase as many superstars as you want, but in the end, you're getting washed and you're going to ruin every team you play for after some time. You can mark my words: you'll RETIRE before you win another trophy. Too bad you need a real trophy to prove you didn't get carried by Alfajer and nAts.

Some players just want a new challenge, his contract was expired so he could leave whenever he wanted and so he did. Vitality built their roster really well, much better than their 2025 iteration I’d say. Coaches have chemistry with jamppi and profek + he gets to reunite with Derke. Sure money was a part of it but don’t ignore the fact that VIT has a promising team, I’m sure that’s what prompted him to go to VIT anyway

Chronicle knew Botster doesn't have it in him when it comes to winning an International Trophy. Losing 3 GF's in a year reveals a lot and it sucks big time, and Chron probably got sick of it. Get paid more and join another strong team with new hope.

he left because boaster was an embarrassment who choked both GFs that year back to back. derke also left fnc for the same reason cus back in 2024 boaster played the worst international playoffs performance ever in champs 2024 even while derke chronicle and alfajer were playing out of their minds. both of these guys know it’s impossible to win anything with such a massive liability, they don’t wanna play on a team that has to play valorant in such a way because one of their players is terrible, it’s exhausting

u genuinely don't know how anything works if this is what you actually think. being on different teams does not mean he has "broken" anyone's trust or severed any form of relationship with anyone on the team. none of his former teammates have spoken negatively about him and neither of them will, because they have no reason to. it is a business

if you actually think the pay difference wasn't that big you are absolutely delusional. fnatic is one of the poorest orgs in esports as a whole, and the ceo of fnatic himself said they couldn't afford chronicle. which means, most likely, he had to either take a pay cut or got a better offer elsewhere. and in esports, where job security is awful and the pay disparity is so big, that is a choice that anyone who is thinking about their future long term would make.

finally, if you think it is about results, what makes you think that he doesn't see a future in vitality? in every other esport, vitality has shown that they want to win, and they will make the upgrades necessary to do that. if you want to join a win now org, you are absolutely joining vitality after what they've done especially in CS.

Serious answer: Esports is a career with extremely low job security. A player never knows when he'll suddenly fall into obscurity. Just look at Mindfreak and Trexx. If one can secure a bigger payout, he should, and that's what chron did.

Idk why its so hard to understand. Vitality is a good team on paper and he gets more money. Chronicle never got the pay he deserved. Be it on gmb or fnatic. Nothing wrong in going for the bag especially after having a successful career like him
