Where is this arrogance coming from?

Why are BBL players and some specific players on M8s so arrogant and cocky? (they make statements, shout and point fingers on stage, shoot bodies all the time, etc.). What have they achieved for them to be this cocky? (Check out BBLs post-match interview and you'll see what I am talking about)

A lot of highly respected players such as Zekken, Boaster, Sacy, Aspas, Less, Alfajer, TenZ, etc., have achieved a lot in the game, but you'll never see them be this arrogant on stage or in the post-match press conference. What have these BBL or M8s boys done to be like that?

Their behavior somewhat justifies the hate that they're receiving. I, for one, am happy they both got humbled and knocked out of the tournament.

A simply google search would tell you the fact that the word 'Cocky' and 'Arrogant' are synonymous. Which means they're the same words.

So you're basically saying I can call them cocky, but not arrogant. Both of which have the same general meaning. And you're also calling out my 'English'

Yeah confidence and trash talk is great, makes story lines and every match becomes a bit more fun, but these boys have misunderstood the assignment.

Hopefully they learn their lesson from this and become more likeable as a team. They have talent which is not deniable.

You're right. I just think these boys take it a bit too far in the conferences, and then in the server and stage as well. But yeah maybe it's a personality thing that we haven't seen too much of in VCT so it's standing out a bit more.

I think it probably relates to the types of confidence. Aspas, Zekken, mada, Jing, and other great players that are really good and “respectful” are confident in themselves. Players like the bbl trash talkers confidence seem to come from “I am better than you.” Neither is necessarily bad but sometimes the “I am better than you” mentality can lead to over aggression and blind yourself from mistakes. It’s hard to know if that’s what’s happening in bbl but its a pattern I’ve seen before

Yeah this is a nice take.

If Tenz is standing up in a match or Zekken, they're kinda celebrating a round win or a good play. On the other hand these guys seem like they're trying to say 'You're bad, I'm better'

its just being young they are confident and that bleeds into arrogance sometimes they are all extremely young and had an insane run in ascension and kickoff as they get older they might develop theyre emotional intelligence

and honestly emea might be a 0 team region rn if fnatic improves (which they inevitably will do) probably 1 team again but not rn

BBL are young, confident, and capable. Starxo isn't even really hugely confident, he just has a paper mental and lost his head against a team he believed to be much worse than his, which caused them to lose. Pretty unacceptable as an IGL
