"As the team has grown from strength to strength over the last several years, so too has our determination, to field the absolute best roster we can," PRX said. "This decision comes after a comprehensive internal review involving our players, coaching staff, and performance team. At Paper Rex, roster decisions are never made lightly or in isolation; they reflect the collective assessment of competitive needs, team dynamics, and long-term goals. Throughout this process, our priority has been to ensure clarity and care for everyone involved."
PatMen departs after joining the Southeast Asian powerhouses earlier this season, replacing core member mindfreak after the team had a disappointing Pacific Kickoff, placing 7th-8th. His addition to the squad added some much-needed structure to a PRX squad that can flex no fewer than four players onto the Duelist role. He was the squad's go-to recon Initiator, primarily playing Fade and Sova.
While PRX and PatMen saw bountiful results in hindsight, it was not always easy. The team narrowly qualified for the Stage 1 playoffs, finishing fourth in their group to enter the playoffs in the lower bracket. Once in "win or go home" mode, PRX completed a gauntlet of wins, defeating Masters Bangkok winners
