Just post rock with some unique rhythms and time signatures basically. There's more prog/virtuoso stuff like Polyphia and Chon but I dig the more chill and melodic stuff like this. There's also way more chaotic bands like Hella and Tera Melos, and a band called "Giraffes? Giraffes!" That does a bit of everything.

have you listened to No Buses? Theyre another Japanese indie rock band with a similar sound. a little less technical, and they have lyrics, but this clip reminded me of them!
