it’s probably because nrg went from mid to champs in such a short amount of time, and didnt really do anything to stand out on stage in that time frame. every other champ at least had either been near the top for a while, or showed off their personality (except assend)
It's because nrg fans matured at some point between now and 2023 I know for sure the nrg fans of before were nothing like a lot of the current ones

i do believe vlr meta talk is fun, and it always has been here (ie user tierlists, chron thread about u) but it's become so much more common that it does get oversaturated
