Hey everyone,
I wanted to clear up a few things around the BBL x PCIFIC situation.
Our vision for Ascension has always been to reward competitive performance with promotion, but guaranteeing that a team and its players ascend together is challenging. After promotion has been secured, both the players and the team are presented with new choices regarding their future team affiliation and roster composition.
It wouldn’t be right for us to force ascending players to remain with their team if that's not what they want. Doing so would mean they had fewer opportunities than their non-ascending peers, and player mobility and clear pathways for aspiring pros are a core part of what makes our ecosystem work. Given the investment required by teams to reach VCT, it would be just as wrong for us to take away the reward from the organisation who earned the promotion, passed our required checks, but saw their players depart.
We have thoroughly reviewed each player’s contract for compliance and reached out to the players involved to remind them of their rights. At the same time, we also reviewed the allegations of shared ownership across both orgs, and can confirm this is not true. At this stage, the evidence reviewed indicates no wrongdoing by either BBL or PCIFIC.
While this isn’t necessarily the way we intended this to happen, we’re ultimately glad to see all five players ascend and wish them, and PCIFIC, the very best of luck next year.

This team got money from BBL to pay for their players and had 0 risk. Why should they be rewarded with T1? They knowingly entered an agreement where they would give all the players that carried them here away for money. This org does nothing of value for T1. Rose grabbing a few cracked players from ranked and winning premier is not their acheivement. 0 fan 0 money 0 competence org leeching money from partnership stipend and providing nothing for the league. FUck off.

PCF will be so lame unless they build around Lewn and Sociablee. Not that there isn't Turkish talent, but many of their best are in VCT already. They will likely just build a roster with WHO? players and not do anything meaningful and finish bottom. Like who are they seriously going to sign if they go full Turkish?

t1 academy can't compete in ascension korea despite winning stage 3 in t2

but bbl pacific can win ascension and behave as an academy for BBL by swapping all bbl pcific players to BBL, leaving an empty team that's taken a slot

To think people were clowning me when i was dissing this org and now people want them out the league within a week. TOLD YA SO.
