Champions MVP 2022

The biggest lie of all time in valorant is that Pancada was the Champions MVP 2022(Even himself believes that).

So lets start how does RIOT decides who is the Champions MVP?

In 2024 they started to give the bracelet to the best player of the grand finals and so crowning the MVP of Champions.

KK was the Champions MVP of 2024 while not even being TOP 10 Stats in the whole tournament, CHICHOO was TOP 6 and SMOGGY was top 9 and KK won regardless of that.

So RIOT prioritize the Finals performance over OVERALL performance.

Going back to Champions 2022 the Finals MVP was Aspas, he was officially elected by RIOT not THE SPIKE and he only doesn't have the bracelet because at that time RIOT wasn't giving those yet.

Those mfs who claim that Stats doesn't mean everything is the same ones that downplay Aspas in 2022 saying that he was not the best player on his team, but RIOT says otherwise.

He is the 2022 CHAMPIONS MVP and if you don't agree with that then he is the 2025 CHAMPIONS MVP, you decide which one you agree with, either by Stats or by Riot, he has both.

As i said before if you consider OVERALL performance then he is already the 2025 CHAMPIONS MVP, if you consider Grand finals performance then he is the 2022 CHAMPIONS MVP.

It doesn't matter.

As much as I love Aspas you can't come 5th/6th and be the Champs MVP, lets not be silly

I agree and thats why my whole point was that he is the 2022 CHAMPIONS MVP and not the 2025 CHAMPIONS MVP.

if aspas didn't play the finals optic would unironically win 3-0. He singlehandlely brought back two maps with crazy plays

Damn that’s crazy if FNS didn’t play that final LOUD would win 3-0

i think most of vlr didnt even watch vct in 2022. like, back then it was consensus that aspas was loud best player, nobody complained when he got mvp. just check the comments on that tweet, not a single complaint

Aspas haters needs to push the agenda that in 2022 he was like chronicle, winning trophies while not being the best player of his team.

Well it’s a bit different to compare KK and Aspas’s situations.

KK in Champs 24 was not their best player up to the final, but it was pretty close. Then, he had literally the best finals performance ever.

Aspas in Champs 22 was not close the best player on Loud up to the final, and was not the best player in the finals either IMO, it was Sacy. There really isn’t a good argument for Aspas being the Champs 22 MVP

Recency bias.

Look at the comments see if anyone is saying shit about Sacy being better than Aspas at that final.

Aspas really robbed OPTIC on that Breeze, OPTIC should won that FINALS 3-1

Ok I actually went and watched the entire series and Aspas winning MVP is just “the best player on winning team”. Sacy was definitively better in that series, the eye test is actually worse for Aspas argument. On Ascent he was not very good, on Bind he was okay, on Breeze he was pretty good, and on Haven he was good. Meanwhile Sacy absolutely deadlifted on Ascent.

Saying Aspas robbed OPTIC on Breeze is kind of crazy though. Here is it round by round:

Round 25: Aspas gets op kill but round is essentially over because he’s so far from site, then can’t win clutch
Round 26: Less alone wins them the round
Round 27: Aspas wins them the round
Round 28: Aspas dies first, lose round
Round 29: Loud’s other players win their duels, Aspas gets kill when it’s already 4v2
Round 30: Aspas dies first but teammates win round

Riot didnt announce official MVPs until franchising.
Grand Finals MVP and actual MVP are not the same

That 12x11 on breeze alone should won Aspas the MVP, LOUD had 3 bulldogs OPTIC had all the momentum and Aspas wins the round by himself.

That breaks OPTIC, you can't be serious brother.

Tell me which player in the world can swing on prime YAY holding an angle with OP x OP and still win?

Only Aspas did that.

#38
noahkraken

Ah yes he should win MVP for a single round. Sacy had multiple enormous rounds down the stretch on Ascent, basically hard carrying them to a win. He was also better overall throughout the series. I get the argument that stats aren’t everything, but there’s a massive discrepancy between +3 and +19

#39
Hyssopus1

Sacy was only big on ascent, in the rest of the series he was mid, Stats don't tell the whole story.

#40

and Aspas was only big on Breeze… Sacy was also way better on Breeze than Aspas was on Ascent. Sacy was also far better in OT on Ascent than Aspas in OT on Breeze.

They were both okay in bind, and both good in Haven

#41

He was the only player on Bind that was putting up a fight.

Haven was a stomp so whatever

#42

Aspas had a singular exceptional round on Bind then had minimal impact the rest of the map. Outside of that singular round, Sacy was probably better.

ur wrong but right

its not about the finals alone. starxo won finals mvp in 2021 but the mvp was still given to zeek. riot saying aspas is finals mvp does NOT mean he was the champions mvp. a lot of this post and your replies is just misinfo

but yes, aspas is the official winner of champions 2022 mvp, regardless of whether you proved it well here or not

should've been pancada and chichoo
