Not like they have one chance only to make it, they have several chances, it's on them if they fail to capitalize on everyone of them .
Plus it's also not like there's a single champs spot per region, there's 4 of them.
if americas had the same rules as other regions c9 would've qualed right? So were you going to say the same thing if they had the same rule? That just doesn't make sense and is overly simplistic

In every other region, if two teams are tied in champs points, the one that does better in playoffs makes it through (with this rule C9 would've made it), but in americas, they use H2H for tiebreaker instead so MIBR made it over C9
americas values head to head more than who goes farther in playoffs basically
how can you say a team "deserves" to make it to champions if they only would have made it in on a technicality? that isnt exactly deserved, don't you think? and what does it mean to "deserve" to make it? you were good? you put in the effort? you won a certain match so you "deserve" to be there? everyone who is at champions earned their spot somehow, even if they flopped later in the season.
first of all I dont have a take on who deserved it. Second you say it would be a technicality if C9 qualed but it is still a technicality when mibr made it? It all depends on the rule.
i didnt say mibr "deserved" the spot. i acknowledge that some teams do get there due to the results of other teams, but mibr did qual for a masters this year so despite not technically "deserving" the spot, they did do something to earn it. just like how NRG did the one thing that would win them a spot in champions, by going on a lower bracket run. and then it comes back to the question of how can you deserve a spot at an international tournament? it is already a privilege to be there because not many teams make it every year comparatively to the number of teams in franchising, and a lot of VCT players work really hard and a lot of them want to make it to champions. so this question of deserving a spot is not a rabbit hole worth going down because then it leads to these kinds of conversations.
yes but C9 got 4th in playoffs while mibr didn't even make it at all. In other regions C9 would qual because they value playoffs more than head to head over the season. I dont even have an opinion on who deserved, what I am saying is its not as simple as "better team would've qualified" because it depends on a simple rule in this case because they are really close.

Brazilians are always so sensitive when it comes to stuff like this, brother man, nobody is attacking your teams, calm down 😂😂. They base their lists mostly on the last 5-10 games. Mibr didn't even make the playoffs back in the Americas, so they rated them low.
Also, if you don't like Platchat, then don't pay attention, they have been around for a long time and have rated Brazil fairly back then as well. You had no problem in the past, I suppose? Well again, you can't expect people to parrot your opinions.

Both are based on champpoint and C9 have the same number of point than MIBR, the difference between AMER and other region is the tiebreaker rule, the tiebreaker rule in APAC, EMEA China, is easy to calculate ful transparency for viewer and totally fair, while the AMER need a shit ton of math, and could eliminate a team because they won a game.
