valorant gotta do something about the ranked playerbase, istg people cannot hold a semblance of civilized humanity in ranked, especially guys talking to women, it's actually ridiculous

it also doesn't help that a bunch of youtubers (including female ones) encourage this stuff, for example schrodingerlee and that VA come to mind

riot SHOULD be banning people for sexist comments AND also these weird ass people tryna sexualize themselves, i've had multiple encounters in swiftplay with people just trying to plug their OF

Nah I think riot should be putting more people in making the next bundle, the last few have been pretty boring, and raise the prices so tencent billionares can feed their kids

Honestly this is less a valorant issue and more of a societal issue. I do think riot could be a bit more severe with responding to sexism though; every time I hear a women talk on my team or duo with one I start praying none of my teammates start being weird, but someone almost always says some out of pocket shit.

That's what I was wondering. I live in APAC (oce) and I never heard any sexist comments whatsoever, and everyone is pretty normal.

Could just be a NA issue

riot does ban ppl for sexist comments tho as long as u report them

it doesnt help that the majority of the female players on val are pretty shit at the game too

imo they clearly aren't giving out strict enough punishments or doing it frequently enough if this kind of sentiment still exists, this kind of stuff deserves like month long bans or perma

the issue i see is that most of the people who troll the game are doing so on other/secondary accounts instead of their main, so a ban on their account means nothing to them. this gives them the freedom to act however they like with minimal consequences and if riot cracks down on this issue, the antisocial behaviour will solve itself eventually. something like IP bans for a certain period of time on players that are banned for whatever reason would encourage people to act better by enforcing a punishment on a person, whether or not they are using multiple accounts.

soft as warm butter.

Imagine crying about people being mean on the internet.

someone says dumb shit, mute and move on with your life.

this is coming from someone who never talks shit.

I think people should be able to communicate and enjoy the game the same way regardless of their gender, something that they cant change. That’s not saying men don’t experience throwers and toxicity, but they don’t because of their gender specifically.

Communicating is an essential part of valorant. Half the time a women speaks and the weirdos in the lobby start making weird comments or throwing the game/sabotaging them for no reason. That makes the game very unenjoyable, even if you mute.

no it's just not fun to feel like you're babysitting in a team game which is supposed to be fun

If I have to mute a player, I lose out on communications, making my valorant experience worse
