I am so glad that Valorant doesn’t have a team like Vitality. It makes watching events way more fun when you don’t know the winner before the event even starts

True but that was useless though even if they won they get the trophy I guess but let's be honest the automatic playoffs they already had from lockin is far more important and Tokyo is a far larger prize
all they had were two event wins in a row, and it was only tokyo where they were on a different plane compared to the other teams. vitality won 6 in a row and every single one of their tournament wins weren't even close. on top of that they won 30 series in a row
that's mostly due to CS pace I feel like, if valorant had more game/events FNC could've dominated for far more than 2 events if they were right after one another, CS had like 7 international tournaments so far in 2025
it's more about valorant as a game has metas so it's so hard to be the best in every meta
what I like about the cs2 scene is that there are enough events that you can get people complaining about dominance and they've only been this good for like 4 months
valo would take like 2 years for a team to reach this winstreak
thing is that despite vitality winning everything there are still some banger matches that make it worth watching & everyone wants to tune in to see if this will be the series where vit loses
the grand final of dallas isn’t a good example (m0uz keke) but yesterday’s semifinal of vitality vs falcons was peak counter strike
Idk, I'm looking forward to the year that one team dominates so hard that they win all 3 events.
Fanatic almost did it in 2023 but not quite there yet
CS2 is the most sport-like integrity in the scene because if you are talented work hard train hard you can become the best it's gave reward for the one who deserved. Valorant seem like animal circus control by Riot just do random thing to fuck with player to entertain us all the time, that's why winning team never get respect because it's all random and fluke winner at the time
Tell that to niko who been one of the best for years and has never won a major
If you want to win on your own, don't compete in team sports. In team sports, even if you're talented, work hard, and train hard, you still need to catch the eye of a good organization and make smart decisions when joining a team in order to profit from your investment in yourself. but still, it's not random it's the factor you can manage for yourself. like a traditional sport.
NiKo still gets a lot of respect in the scene he always manages to build top-tier teams that can compete.
Really? I think it makes it a lot more entertaining to watch. Vitality has that pressure on them to keep the streak going. So you know they are bringing their best in every map they play. I kind of don't like that in valorant every game is almost a 50/50, doesn't feel truly competitive that way. To each their own tho
Mega dominant teams always leave behind a legacy. NIP (i think it was like 83 games unbeaten), Arsenal's undefeated season, Warriors 73-9.
don't worry Vitality is only making the most of their time before kyousuke plays and Falcons dominate the scene🥱
I may be high on copium. But the current Falcons are losing series 1-2 and 2-3 with close maps against Vitality, and I think kyousuke can easily be an upgrade over kyxsan. So I'm looking forward to it 🙏
my bad I thought it's Magisk. Welp it may be time for him to rest a bit he's been on the team for years
rumors were teses was on the chopping block for kyousuke but dont know if thats changed
Idk about you but I prefer team to actually be good at the game
Vitality dominating means every other teams needs to step up and when that happens the scene will be at a higher level
Same happened with prime Astralis and I love it
Too much meta and map pool change. Too little match to play Coach always talk about there is no time to develop a good team to be the best team in Valorant they just do what they can do at this short time. No long-term development so every team is ass. Is that make sense?
They aren't bad, but top CS teams and players are constantly perfecting the way you play CS to the smallest of things and timings. While in other hand Valorant teams and players are not playing even close to the same perfection and likely never will due to metas etc. And this isn't even some "well CS is older game" thing. The "skill ceiling" will always be lower and that shows in results.
Prime astralis was imo the most fun era of CSGO. They weren't just dominating, they were completely reinventing tactics with the nadestacking and how they played off of each other. None of them were the flashiest players in the world, they were all just really good role players whose synergy was legendary
not just reinventing tactics, they also had THE best antitatics in the world. I remember watching a translated interview of fallen speaking about astralis and he specifically said a scenario when he played overpass against them and was like: "they knew everything I did. they knew that when someone flashed from trash to long, Id peek from bank, and when it happened theyd have an AWP locked in on me. they knew that between round 7 or 9 Id be playing monster after the antirush smoke was down and yet again, theyd have an AWP locked in my position. It was impossible"
you would loved to see old Gambit roster dominating like Vit, but certainly hated if G2 somehow dominate the scene. it's just the gameplay i mean. g2 is quite boring meanwhile old Gambit is so entertaining
Real, and like Valorant got different region at least able to win something. CS is just EU EU EU EU boring.
I mean the Mongolz are really good, definitely top 5 imo, they are showing that other regions can also be a threat and that EU is not the only region that can win tournaments
Not EU fault that NA/other regions don't produce talent and the orgs leaving cuz of lack of profitability
Not EU fault that every other org just dipped once it doesn't make a profit short term lol and i am saying this as an Asian user. Also didn't help that majority of the younger asian cs players also flocked to valorant during its release
Well it can get boring, but IMO best team should dominate. If there is new winner every event like in Valorant is just shows that the wins are more about adaptation/fitting meta than being a consistent good team. More potential for flukes. Astralis dominated for long because they were by far the best team and played the most perfect CS for that time.
well vitality is winning because they are better, the alternative would be them throwing on purpose or valve making the game more rng
it can be boring as a viewer but I can't imagine how frustrating playing a game with a low skill ceiling as a competitor must be
