I remeber going into kickoff the narrative was that he is an onliner, has the skill but cant break through his mental block on lan and always underperforms. I hope that I am not jinxing it but it seems like he fully broke through it with the help of FNATIC's coaching staff. He looks fucking incredible, imagine if a talent like him was stuck on apeks and back in t2 next year. Great scouting and development by FNATIC yet again.

Not wrong, but he was one of if not the best looking duelists in tier 2 EMEA last year. He would have gotten into VCT no matter what(not Apeks). He/Apeks just ended up choosing Fnatic.

I was wrong about kaajak before Ascension, I thought he was just farming bots. But then again I thought the exact opposite about something in Japan. So I was inconsistent with myself.

After Ascension tho, no doubt he was gonna be fucking amazing

Yeah I commented this earlier today. They should have stuck with their philosophy and gave the opportunity to another unknown duelist not random washed pros. It was risky but ti was the only way they had a chance and what they're best at

Yes but it turns out it’s much harder to farm bad competition than it looks like. At least to something’s levels. Players who shined in those bad leagues historically had done well something/ jemkin/ Kristal/ keiko. And I knew that but idk for some reason I didn’t believe it with Kaajak. Tbf is not like I watched Apeks much

I think i got fooled by platchat, I dont follow europe tier 2 (there are too many leagues idk whats going on), so I just watched their episode on it before/after the finals. They painted him as a hard choker and only seeing the grand final i kinda agreed. Looking at his other games i don't know what they were smoking, you are right he was just the #1 choice

Those tournaments have the top 2 from each league (top 4 for NORTH//EAST). Easier than following every league :)

A short haven sheriff ace is not a forgettable clip what....

he is really clean, you can miss him getting kills cause he is just fast and really consistent with it but that doesnt make him forgettable at all imo
