No disrespect to the japanese but i agree with you, japanese is kinda useless outside of japan and anime
that applies for so many languages tho, but going to italy knowing italian for example makes the experience way more enjoyable. Not everything in life has to be super useful
Japan is like the only country that uses japanese with around 125 million speakers almost all of them being in Japan
Learning mandarin for example lets you communicate to more than a billion people compared to japanese's 125 million
Italian is a similar case but learning italian opens you gates to learn spanish french portuguese and romanian easily aswell, which then adds up to over a billion speakers
Languages like russian are useful for space, latin is useful for medicine and english is useful for everything but for what exactly is japanese useful for?

Japanese job opportunities, learning more about the Japanese culture, access to untranslated articles and books. And obviously, the ability to communicate with those 125 million people when you would otherwise not. All the Japanese people I've met have been super nice.

Im not so sure about that, mist russians play in russian i think, most turks play in turkish, in EMEA you could make sense of it but in americas its quite unique that mazino is playing in russian and aspas in japanese
