this year their team is better, and the competition is worse
unless we get like GENG, SEN, EDG is our group. we should do good
last year trophy contenders: EG, LOUD, PRX, FNC, NRG(🗿)

tell me who can win champs that isnt TH or GENG
its not about the orgs, its about the players
also idk if ppl forgot but ppl were alr saying fnatic was easily gonna win champs. The favorites last year were PRX(speculation since they got top 3 without something) and Fnatic) pretty much the same storyline as this year since TH got top 2 without miniboo.
Sentinels, Fnatic, LEV, PRX If its not about the orgs why are you higlighting this year's orgs? If a new team reaches Champs beating the past year's teams and their players, they deserve every atom of it. That doesnt make the competition weaker.
any team that qualifies can win champs... look at EG, ZETA, Acend etc..
All went on crazy runs to either win chips or get close to it.
Last year trophy contender was just fnc till end of the year, also tourneys were filled with filler teams. Atleast most teams are good now and can beat good teams
LOUD was decent the whole year, same with PRX
EG locked is during tokyo and after
NRG is just good overall
and also those filler teams still exist and BLG proved that any1 could have beaten any1 last year aswell
This is a hindsight take just based on tournament wins. Going into lock in and tokyo, there were multiple teams that were trophy contenders (LOUD, DRX, NAVI, PRX, NRG), it really only narrowed down AFTER both those tournaments when FNC won both.
People thinking teams will be good doesn’t make teams more competitive, lock in had a couple of teams looking competitive but so did Madrid
People thinking’s teams would look good doesn’t change the fact that fnc dominated
Loud had been playing terribly up till Champs, how were they ever in contention? The only 3 teams in contention were PRX, EG and FNC

Yes because they got shit on at tokyo, they had massive leaks about aspas leaving, disputes between the players and staff. You are genuinely lying if you sit here and say everyone expected Loud to win champs if you were here last year. On the contrary people expected NRG to do better than getting beaten by BLG twice. Also Lock in and regionals dont matter because of how long ago they were from champs, EG sucked in regionals and Lock in, Prx sucked in lock in, and I can go on. Even now, before split 2, teams rankings were done on Shanghai, any team that didnt make Shanghai was dropped below.

also i stated that NRG was expected to do good aswell
and if you dont want to look at lock in and regionals, might aswell have given the trophy to the LCQ teams (most recent event before champs)
Nah you are genuinely tripping, no one expected Loud to win. Play decent? Sure, but no one aside from Loud fans thought they could win champs, not after Tokyo, not after FNC's dominance, and not after all the internal shit falling apart. I dont know what vlr you were on, but I dont remember many at all placing Loud as a likely winner.

Lev barely qualified 🤣, they had a close game against fut, made coaching changes and started beating some mid teams
you can apply that with sen too though? most if not all the teams sen have beat so far are mid: nrg, c9, kru is their best win rn becuz they had klaus. i’m confident sen will beat g2 but that is their real test before playoffs
I’m not saying lev is bad, they are very good but it is true they are beating mid teams rn (so are Sen) and they arent by far the best team in Americas
Didn't put much of a fight against 100T. ZIkz said fut was a easy read thats why they chose them.
ye fut needs to up their strat book if they wanna get dub against stronger teams. I remember fut coach almost crying after the loss against prx in champs 2023
