Well tokyo clears shanghai kinda agree, but dont know if this champs can do better than LA
I think it can and probably will because of the level of competition in it compared to last years groups
i doubt it can. how many storylines are going in this champs? i cant think much but i can think of so many for the last one. fnatic winning 3 times in row. jingg last dance. evil genius miracle run. group of disappointment being the group of death.
The storylines will come up once we're there, right now there are a few like Prx v Sen redemption, likely there'll be China v boostio, and probably TH finally being able to not choke a GF if they end up winning which would be a MASSIVE storyline if it happens

the meta was boring in 2022 and 2023 this year's meta is fun to watch as a viewer and level of play will increase in champs
This year will be the only champs that's actually significantly higher in level of play compared to the masters of the same year because many teams are actually competing this year and a lot of big name teams didn't end up making it.
This'll be the first 16 team even where it actually gets harder due to having 16 teams attend where there's enough room for all the best teams
definitely and the fact that there are better teams coming from China as well rather than being edg and friends(blg the goat) helps significantly

people dick riding 2022 is crazy, literally everyone wanted chamber and astra gone at the time. 2023 had both the healthiest meta and the best storylines this game has seen (FNC icebox and their uprising, PRX something, entirety of EG, SEN’s very dramatic collapse, C9 revitalized, EDG, etc etc).

Masters format is good because you don't whom you will face next because of Swiss stage and the teams need to prepare all the maps to make itto playoffs.
Main reason is because your great map might be their best map so you have to ban your great map and pick another map

Champs was amazing we got NRG v BLG twice (FNS ARE YOU OK??), DRX resurgence, EDG v Loud, Loud beating fnc in revenge twice, Eg being the villiansEG v PRX upper, EG v Loud lower, EG v PRX final , EG winning the whole thing after being the worst team in americas.
