They had almost same amount of points at this point in many previous seasons, not to forget they made ucl finals with kane carrying them. Ange and Maddison are the ones who made them look better for NOW

Kane is banging at bayern tho lol. Tottenham will never win the league atleast this season. They will perform the same as they do. Get top 4. Do average in the ucl and repeat. That's how it's been every year for them. Unless levy leaves, they are going to remain like this

im inclined to give spurs some credit rn, ange posteclogthetoilet has them playing a style of football that we havent seen from them since poch and in that time, they've lost vertonghen and alderweireld in defense and they never really replaced them(hell, eric friggin dier was a starter)
theyve obviously fallen off a cliff since the season before poch was sacked but theyve had a very consistent string of defensive managers which has evidently not worked(though that should have been obvious to spurs' board long before even conte was hired)
things certainly seem different with tottenham, and they've adapted to kane leaving mindblowingly well - time will tell obviously if they stick the landing but i think spurs will finish above their 8th place finish last year which i dont think almost anyone really predicted theyd do lol
the midfield feels brand new even though bissouma and sarr have been at the club for a little while, and when bentancur comes back he's going to feel like a new addition too
spurs are finally changing their identity post-pochettino and i think we're all deluding ourselves if we think that's not an exciting sign

I am not saying that what they are doing with ange is not exciting or they are not on the right path. I am saying that we have seen this b4. Apart from all the banter tottenham are one of the few teams who regularly featured in Europe from epl and who almost always made it out of groups. But they always fall short in the league, in the ucl, in the cups. Kane was one of the few bright sparks who was the biggest reason for their "success" and calling spurs better without him isn't the biggest disrespect u can put on their greatest legend and also just false. That's what my original point was. Also like i said, as long as levy is there, they won't win much. He is just like the glazers for utd

Liverpool got robbed today but yea back on the topic of spurs. The only real competition they face rn is city. I think them getting rid of Kane was the best thing for the club, they got paid (on a diminishing asset) and it now lets spurs play faster and less predictable. You literally have to feed Kane bc he’s a unit but it was hindering their play. Son and Maddison are extremely unselfish and it allows for spurs to play immaculate team ball. Kane fits Bayern well bc u have gnabry and sane (and Coman) who can easily get crosses in bc of their pace. Spurs winning the league is not even slightly delusional. Im here for a Bayern spurs champions league final, would be epic. But I’m not a fairy, it will be Bayern v Madrid or city.

Spurs were never built around kane tho. More often than not, kane was dropping deep into midfield and stringing passes to Son or other attackers. He was far from hindering their play. Hes doing the same in bayern as well. Also both liverpool and arsenal are still big threats to tottenham. Them finishing 4th will be a huge achievement for now. Anything above 4th is an overachievement.
