stew has been with JDG since the start of 2024, joining as the org picked up the Rare Atom Rare Atom China Rank #7 Potter Sutthichai Promsrikaew Guran Zhou Minyan (周铭言) nnono Croudy Ben1Ley Shi Benyu Z1yan Liu Zihan (刘紫涵) core ahead of China's first season of its current partnership era. He had been JDG's go-to Duelist player since the beginning of his stint, but began to pick up other roles as the team's rather uneventful 2025 season drew to a close. Over two seasons, JDG picked up just seven wins in league play, culminating in zero playoff victories.

He ended Stage 2 in 2025 with the joint-highest rating of any player in China, as well as the highest ACS. Through the first three matches of Stage 1, stew continued as JDG's primary Duelist, but that changed beginning with the team's fourth match. He transitioned into the Controller role with Yuicaw taking over Duelist duties, and he also played a map on Killjoy in the playoffs as part of a 5th-6th finish — JDG's joint-best finish ever in the partnership era.

stew's departure now opens up JDG's lone import slot and opens up an opportunity for him to move for the first time in two and a half years. With teams based in his home country undergoing midseason roster changes, a move back to Korea may be on the cards, while continuing in China is not out of the question.
