I will be honest, from being sooo heavily clowned on by the rest of the world, BLG has shocked the world. Congrats Edward and Billy.
I'd say cs does have a audience in China but mostly for its skins since it's so hard to invest into anything other than property in China and you don't even own the property some Chinese people invest in skins. They don't play the game tho.
I don't think you can really talk about the rise of FPS in china without talking about the huge influence Overwatch had in china
Yeah riot paid FNS, victor and s0m to throw. They are such frauds and should be kicked out from the scene immediately
china is just superior race bro. they good at everything. soon they will be the world leader too.
overwatch?
pubg?
crossfire?
you clearly have no idea about asia scene, do you? lmao
Yeah, I aint a tac fps but its one of the biggest fps games going around and has pumped a tonne of cracked out players into val
uh, idk if you knew the history but China was dominant in CS source before the majority of the player base moved to crossfire because that was the hottest FPS in asia and no one really gave CSGO that much investment afterwards.
Honestly it's all don't matter much if none of them is going win the trophy in the end since Asia still has zero trophies.
To be fair, Valve never really gave emphasis on asian countries in the first half of CSGO release. It was like CSGO was initially custom-tailored for EU-NA to foster the growth/sustainability of og cs pros since 1.6 which are majority from EU/NA.
FPS has kind of been a cultural thing in china for a while. 4 of the 20 Overwatch league franchises operate from China, one of a regular season MVP winner from China. Cross fire was huge within china and a reasonably experienced history win Counterstrike
Of course more Asian teams will have more chances at Valorant tournaments. EDG is no longer APAC, they play for China and basically it's own region, which makes sense because they have the highest population in the world. It's EU, Americas, APAC and China, so you basically have 2 teams from each region. If you look at the bracket there are 2 APAC teams, 2 Chinese teams, 2 EU teams and 2 Americas. Let's just face it, the future best Valorant players aren't going to be former CSGO pros so it will no longer be EU and US. Valorant isn't a heavy graphic game, more people will be able to play even from 3rd world countries since PCs are much more affordable now with a decent video card, meaning more people are able to play and more talents will be available.
