In the first week of Stage 2 of VCT China 2026, TYLOO and Dragon Ranger Gaming jumped up to 2-0 records while EDward Gaming, Xi Lai Gaming, and All Gamers took time to fly back from EWC and prepare for their first games of this stage.

Here is how the results ended up for week one:

As a region, China started Stage 2 first among all regions, with EWC just ending days ago. With some Chinese teams reaching later stages in the international tournament, EDG, XLG, and AG did not play in week one. Instead, every other team except for JDG Esports and Nova Esports played two matches this week.

The two teams that ended 2-0, as mentioned earlier, were TYLOO and DRG. The latter team has been consistently near the top all year so far, but TYLOO is the story of week one. A team that had talent but fell in three playoff games, the team added IGL SiuFatBB and immediately rattled off two sweep victories. The competition was JDG and Trace, two struggling squads, but these two victories have already placed TYLOO in an amazing position to reach the playoff stage.

As another quick note before moving on, after significant roster changes, Wolves has earned its first win of the year with a sweep over TEC, and nearly defeated BLG afterward.

While the former Wolves IGL and Masters Toronto star was a standout this week, the star player has to be vo0kashu . DRG still have yet to make waves internationally, but domestically, the Cypher and Viper play from vo0kashu this week led to two important wins for DRG. He ended the week with a 1.41 match rating, 274 ACS, 179 ADR, and 0.97 KPR. Other amazing performances that deserve a highlight are slowly , Scales , Deryeon , and swagzor .

With these results, Group Alpha only has one team without any games played in EDG. Group Omega has two with AG and XLG, so TEC has the only losing record in the group, already down 0-2. Trace matches the 0-2 record on the Alpha side, with JDG just ahead at the only 0-1 record of the week.

Also, a scheduling notice for China: this break day of July 13 is the only break day for the rest of the group stage. The regular group stage games end on July 23, but there are also seeding games for the playoff stage from the 24-26.
