Yeah but next LAN was 2 months after, Acend victory was the last tournament of the year, they even made changes after so not even same roster
M3C lost their org, but were still 1-2 maps away from qualifying for masters 2, lcq, and masters 1
Acend was more of a fluke because all 5 players of the team turned up at that event. Before champions, nearly every player except cNed, had consistency issues.
Also after that event every player on the Acend roster plays significantly worse than they did at that event. Not a single player, including cNed has had a peak like their performance at Champions 2021.
If the Acend win was a fluke, it was a fluke against Gambit. Not NA, not anyone else... Gambit were just amazing in that era

Gambit earned a lot in val while competing in eu and also when they won masters and place #2 in champs but cant say the same about laze. Laze has a roster but still can't win in the easiest American region lmao
those early tournaments there were always a clear better team. these tournaments i got no clue

Gambit showed really great performances and reached 2nd in Champions with convincingly performances as well, but after the Ukraine-Russia conflict, they needed to drop from Gambit, and this probably hit them the most, cuz the org support means a lot in top tier games/preparation

single elim = could be a fluke
double elim = u need to accept it
