me when i lie, u have to have the best glasses in the world for them to be “pristine condition” for 10 years especially if u wear them in the shower

nah i was around -2.5 or something, refused to wear them and fast forward 2/3 years i no longer needed glasses

That's not how it works man. I put off wearing mine as much as possible as a kid and it just makes it worse, your eyesight will deteriorate while aging anyways and constantly squinting only makes it go faster. They are prescribed so you can use them. And learn to accept how you look, I'm sure you look amazing.
(Although if you are an adult and then prescribed them maybe it's a different situation).
this is a quite rare case (if youre not lying out of your ass), only specific types of vision problems (and only some people with them) can have this happen. for most people not wearing your glasses will actually make it worse (by a significant margin too) and give you eyestrain/headaches because of you, well, straining a lot from trying to see.
for your case, it was most likely you growing up and your eyes being able to fix themselves (which, as i said, is quite rare) and would most likely have been fixed whether u wore glasses or not (and maybe faster with them)

It depends right on nearsightedness or Farsightedness. Im nearsightedness and like the difference is minimal
i refused to wear them for years and it gave me the skill of recognizing people from afar just by their body language

I was in frankfurt once with a lot of my friends, I have like -1.5, saw someone who was relatively my friend's height and build, long hair, so I waved at him like ''hey we are here'', he waved back and then another friend of mine told me ''that's a random woman, dumb fuck''
My lenses have a slight tint to them so the most striking thing to me when I take them off is how vibrant colors are
