this is what would look if FNC picked Lotus instead of Breeze against VIT. they forgot to shoot and would have lost 0-2 still
It just sucks when your roster changes every 2nd week. And what happens at Stage 2? Veqaj returns and needs time to acclimatize just 1 match after FNC with CyvOph starts to work perfectly. I already see it coming.
But on the other hand I'm happy for benjy, RieNs etc. that they feel it again. If they win today, I wish them all the best for the rest of Playoffs.

yes but then choke on the most important ones like this one. thanks to Kaajak ego peeking every time, missed crucial op shots and just literally staring on areas where there is no enemy made your team won. Kaajak like last year has been 50/50 when it came to Kickoff to Stage 1. He only shined near Stage 2. Alfa is mostly the consistent one especially on Ascent today when he decided to finally show up but he also made some crucial whiffs and mistakes on those OT rounds.

Alfa and Kaajak, both. You can see how frustrated both are. Kaajak last year with Chron and crashies giving his plays structure and Alfa having his back was Duelist perfection. :(
I honestly hope Fnatic will rebuild around Kaajak and Alfa next season with Boaster taking over a coaching role beside of Milan somewhere.
Crazy to see how many players have left or taken a break over the last 2 seasons, for reasons totally outside of Fnatics control. Hopefully the rest of the year will be better. A partial restructuring in 2027 seems logical; at some point you gotta tackle that "long-term project."

I feel like we are cursed. I can already tell that something will happen in Stage 2 and we’ll fail to qualify for an event for the third time in a row. Man, it’s so hard being a fan of this org :/

Then... Leo (the best rated player in the world) has to stop competing because of long-COVID.
Last year: 3 grand finals and no trophies
Then... Chronicle leaves for Vitality.
After Kickoff the team finally looks good again with Veqaj.
Then... Veqaj becomes ill and takes a break.
And now? Everything is bamboozled, Kaajak and Alfa both try to carry but 2 players can't carry a 5v5 game for their team. Alfajers view says everything.
It's def. sad and frustrating.
I agree that Kaajak and Alfajer are definitely mechanically better than their teammates but they aren't doing all the work. Despite Boaster consistently getting less than 12 kills every match, Fnatic are still winning alot aren't they? - excluding playoffs, they went 5-0 in groups with boaster, clearly 1) Boaster is a needed addition and goated IGL, that he is giving the call and space and support for his stars to frag and win 5 games without much of his gun to gun input. And crashies, this guy has better numbers than Boaster but still not consistent. However if you watch him play, you can tell his gamesense is really spot on, not only this but his comms and audible input is very substantial (video comms all you hear is boaster crashies and alfa). Then vegaj, he has had numerous great games where he outperformed or performed to bar with both Kaajak and Alfajer if not more. But we're talking about Cyvoph here, and while he is good mechanical he does seem to be a bit lost in roles of his agents at times - which I would contribute this to inexperience. However, my main point is to counter how everyone is underating the players who are NOT alfa and kaajak.
Yeah, it's just always the adrenaline when I'm watching or just watched a match.
Boaster is a genius. Ultimately, he is the one who executes the pre-planned strategies live and under pressure. Under Boasters leadership, good players turn into world-class players and I believe that Kaajak being awarded wih "Rookie of the Year" and 3 more personal awards in 2025 was (at least in some small part) due to Boaster. His IGLing basically ensured that Fnatic reached 3 grand finals, even after all their roster troubles. And sure, we're finally seeing Vitality perform now, but Chronicle under Boaster was on a whole other level - SIGNIFICANTLY more impressive than the Chronicle we see on VIT (at least for now).
That's why I think Sayonara could have become a player close to maybe even Leo, had he played under Boaster. Perhaps he'll turn out just as magnificent regardless, but under Boaster - and alongside Alfa, Kaajak and Chron - he undoubtedly would have been in the absolute best hands. It's a shame that team could never be fully realized in VCT.
