We need to remember that in America basically everyone has really good air conditioning and it’s very common for us to not sweat as much.

When I took a trip to Italy in the summer I was showering twice a day because I was always hot and sweaty.

I just want to say that for this question, it is worth considering the locations of people. There are some circumstances where it is unacceptable to not shower once or even twice a day, then there are some cases where showering 4 times a week suffices to keep you clean.
