Clearly a lot of them disagree but just like benita said they are scared of being called transphobic
She was very cautious in her words saying things just to please the crazy people not to call her "phobic" and still got shitted by tons of people
Imagine if a pro said something worse like "we should not let people who don't have female on their ID's to take part in competitions" they would get called all types of names
This situation only hurts women and also the very few non-lunatic real trans woman who disagree with anyone being able to play in the scene
I hope BR players start realizing this too, although there are much less nb in BR than in NA
I also want to hear others opinion if you disagree on this

Oh please , esports is not sports. Yes you could argue that there are SIGNIFICANT biological advantage when it comes to physical sports for instance muscle mass or bone mass but when it comes to esport I don't see any significant advantage that brought regardless if your men or women. Care to explain on the advantage men posses that women don't or lacks BIOLOGICALLY in the esports scene.

On a general level, men tend to perform a good bit higher in hand-eye coordination as well as reaction times. Obviously not all men perform higher, but those two things seem like decently important aspects of a game like valorant.

Another non-issue. The point of game-changers is entirely to give infrastructure to players that would have issues trying to enter the main VCT circuit. Its literally an interim method to support any players that aren't within the conventional esports player pool. Most of the players playing in gc as a general goal want to win something in actual VCT. The winner of the competition isnt the point its the level of competition that matters.

This entire debate is pointless because unlike old “women’s sports leagues” this is a sports league for “women and other marginalized genders” from the start. Trans men can compete same as trans women, its not just for people who identify as women.

I don't think Benita is arguing that people who are trans or NB can't participate in the league, but that allowing someone to change their Twitter profile and then be allowed to compete is wrong. If anything she's arguing that the place should be made safer for women & marginalized genders from bad actors that just want to use the lower skill level to inflate their stats.

I mean it could definitely be regulated or qualified in some way. Even if you would say that a gender dysphoria diagnosis is needed by a professional, even then it would be easy to fish for one. And would probably make it harder for people with actual dysphoria that don’t want to come out publicly. Its a very complicated topic that riot would have to figure out if they plan on continuing the GC league for much longer (which I don’t think they will because Faria said they wanted to dissolve it sometime.)

Shes not against trans women in gamechangers as all of last year shes been on a team with one. Shes against people who just come out and claim theyre non binary and then 1 week later they are playing in gamechangers. With being a trans woman its very easy to tell if youre faking it or if its real as you would be taking hormone changers + going through with procedures. With non-binary people they can literally just say, oh im non binary and play which is the biggest issue.

Don't use this as an excuse to get your transphobic views out. There is no biological advantage between men and women.

lets be real here she's competing in T1000 whomegalul cares if some dogasswater fuckwad decides to exploit the rules of the competition. relative to the wider VCT, the competitive integrity lost is pretty much zero anyways.

in teh first place, the point of GC was never to provide a real competition - i think it was to introduce members of marginalized backgrounds into an environment that somewhat mimics T2 competition to change the culture. Being slightly cynical, having cis male (AMAB) people who would rather choose to compete in GC than T2/3 probably only serves to improve the overall skill of the still majority underrepresented population in said tournaments. I'd argue that prominent members of these competitions who time and time again win, attempting to stick around also violates the integrity of the competition in the first place.

It wasn't created to be farmed by players who never try to REALLY make it. It was made to give players who would otherwise never try a path to REALLY compete.

TLDR: benita needs to stop being a pussy and go compete in t2/3 if she really cares about integrity
