SEN real problem

roles.
Everyone seems uncomfortable on what they are playing.

  • Tenz on Kayo is working but he clearly isn’t developed on the role
  • Zekken on KJ, though it was only one game clearly it only hindered his ability to make space for the team and didn’t seemed prepared for the role
  • Deph… in all fairness he went from a entry IGL role to a passive IGL role on the sentinel which isn’t a easy adjustment. What’s worrying is his clear lack of ability to make set calls and execute.
Sacy and pAncada are the only ones sticking to the roles they’ve played, and Sacy has looked good but not as he was. How did we not see how fucked these roles would be

theyve practiced for like 1 week lol they'll look better at Sao Paolo (Sacy and Pancada home crowd buff + dephh kind of a lanimal) and probaby be a contending team once the actual season starts.

the one week excuse is lame. They have beat it into everyone’s head this narrative that they won’t do well because of it. If they weren’t sitting there constantly pointing it out I would take it into consideration. But it was like they were preparing to lose which alone is L mentality

None of them are real problems. TenZ was kay O was great throughout the tournament, if you expect him perform similar to his Jett performances statistically then that's just unrealistic. Also, they would never put him on kayO on all maps(specially IB) where jett is super viable and borderline broken. zekken on kj isn't a problem cz you would never see that in an actual match. Dephh's calling was fine but he couldn't aim for shit, with a confidence boost he can change that. Scay and pANcs are just getting comfortable.

dephh calling was definitely questionable and seemed like he was lost especially on Icebox. There were a good amount of times where the star players were clearly just taking aim duels in situations they shouldn’t. Sacy and pAncada should look a little more comfortable playing off of each other, I remember specifically on split when Trent clutches and both of them were holding towards heaven. Zekken on KJ is a big ? and that comp looks amazing, but Zekken on Kayo seems much more reliable. Tenz looked fine on it but I believe Zekken could of even played the role better.

TenZ on the Kayo is frankly ridiculous. He really excelled on the first rendition of Sentinels as a hard entry/get-first-kill kinda guy (a role that’s now being filled by Zekken so there are issues there). How can you possibly say you’re “building” around a player and then chuck him onto an agent which is frankly a support and not allow him the freedom to play what he’s most comfortable with

every day vlr users impress me with how unintelligent they are. let me get this straight: 1) you expect a team to play a map like they have 3 months of pracc immediately 2) you think a t1 team going even with a t2 team without any pracc means they’re dogshit 3) you think I’m on a team or something bc what L are you talking about?

As I have said you wouldn't see these comps like zekken on kj, tenz on kayo every map, dephh on sage instead of viper so these are not actual problems cz they would never do it. They tried experimenting and they only played maps that they haven't yet practiced/scrimmed, that says something.

if you have been WATCHING tenz and LISTENING to him talk on-stream you would know that he has been experimenting with using Kay/O for a long time (since mid-November with the team shakeups). And it’s not about mastery of an agent, it’s about roles and in a best case scenario what that particular agent can do for you.

your an actual smooth brained incel if you think players from 3 different teams and 2 coaches from different teams arent gonna need some time to formulate a gameplan for every map. Especially when you take into account that some of them are having to play new agents and even new roles. You got downvoted for a rzn bc your logic is shit.

I think they should keep running the double duelist comp. when you're good at something and even better than most teams at it, why not do it? why try to follow the "meta" per se when that meta isnt working for you. I think they really excelled in taking trades, the rotations, on defense while their attack looked unbeatable. They have something cooking with the double duelist, I hope they try it in actual tourneys too.

problem is imo double duelist has a lot of inherent flaws that simply dont exist when going with 1 duelist

not if hes uncomfortable playing duelist on those maps. Thats like saying Leaf playing viper is killing his impact as compared to when he plays skye or jett. NO IT ISNT. If on certain maps a player is uncomfortable playing their regular role then it isnt an issue if they decide to lock another role and play for someone else. Its completely common and i dont know why youre making it out to be a proven negative statistic

Look, neither you or I can ask tenz right now if he’s genuinely more “comfortable” on the kayo, though I’d argue that he’s not- considering he’s been on duelist since the beta and likely shifted over to make room for zekken’s agent pool. Either way it doesn’t matter, but what DOES matter is the fact that yes, leaf’s impact got hit dramatically on the viper (ie. he can no longer show off his brilliant early round fragging ability cause it’s too risky), and yes tenz’s kayo is NOT as good as his Jett. It’s not bad, but when you have a top 5 raw talent in the world “not bad” is frankly not good enough.
