Riot ain't even marketing it whatsoever. I thought after the top 4 teams have been revealed they'll start advertising it everywhere. But, I guess, they’ve given up before it even has started lmao.

I have seen players in Denmark post photos in which Masters 2 is appeared at bus stops or public places.

You’re talking out of your ass. They have advertising all over the city. Do you want them to have commercials on the national television? This is just a lame excuse because there’s no interest and it’s easier to blame Riot then to admit that no one gives a shit about this event in Denmark.

yea its advertised all over denmark but i dont think people care too much abt it most ppl are flying into copenhagen from NA or UK and there are no advertisements there, that being said i think they should do more yt ads, twitch ads and just on websites because it is somewhat lackluster.

ikr. makes me question if they intentionally picked it to limit the amount of people or something. Even the venue is really small.

easy country for russians to get visa, this is also probably a reason for turkey champions

i wasn't expecting thousands of people to buy tickets because of the location but I really did think at least a few hundred would show up. I suppose that does hold true for the Grand Final, but I guess I just overestimated the amount of people willing to travel in the EU.

At the time that I’m writing this, I count 919 seats sold for the first day, so probably a little under a thousand for Upper Final/Lower Round 3 and then closer to two thousand for the Grand Final (didn’t count that one though).

Edit: Grand Final is actually pretty straightforward to add up cause a lot of the rows are full, so I believe it’s currently at 2078 tickets

Out of all the places they picked to have a crowd they picked one of the biggest csgo centric countries

It's Denmark. I think blast pointed this out, astralis is the second biggest sports team in Denmark. Shows how big cs is there. Vct would've been so much better in NA or asia

Pretty much sure Valo is popular in Turkiye so i believe Champions Istanbul will have a big enough crowd. Copenhagen was really a bad choice of place ngl

They wanted to test how their crowd would work in a country that they knew would be least likely to attend the event probably. It can't be easy hosting an event for over 10,000 people in a country with high viewership if it is the first lan that they are holding, especially given riot's track record in international events. They probably did it in denmark to see the international popularity of the crowd for masters events to know what to be ready for in the future since denmark is easy to get to internationally and valorant in Denmark isn't very popular. This sounds like copium but its probably what they are doing.

In retrospect its not that bad tbh. Look at the venue capacity for this year league worlds championship at the bottom play ins is about 100 and quarter finals about 6000. For valorant first Lan it does seem like their more testing and trying to predict interests.

and yet, there is still some no brains who think valolrant will replace csgo :D
