They haven’t been the best for a while imo, but they’ve always had the most potential.

posted 6 months ago

Yes because they would be winning if they simply aimed better

Vision strikers. They’ll get run over at LAN (if they make it)

It’s true tho. This doesn’t exonerate sinatraa. I don’t think this is actually enough to make his case much better yet, it really just proves that the situation isn’t that clearly one sided (which was kinda obvious even before).

Aight who getting dropped lmao

Buff it intelligently. Viper as a character rn is very flawed. People wanted viper buffed because some of her utility looked cool. The agent had potential, but it was generally weak/unplayable. But increasing numbers on a character to improve it and make it more relevant does not make it more enjoyable. The utility could’ve been reworked to make it more useful, not oppressive.

Another example: brim was underused, but instead reimagining the boring ass utility, they buffed the hell outta the smokes (which is stupid as fuck to play against).

It really seems like a counter to the aggression we see from many Brazilian teams. I still think Brazilian teams can perform really well internationally, but they’ll have to adjust like vks to not get shut down

Noble players probably have ptsd from getting spammed thru smokes by dapr

Yea but smeag

Not a prediction but xset please

Relyks is actually really mechanically strong, but his playstyle in tourneys is just terrible. He plays really slow lurks all the time and often dies first when his opponents catch on. He could easily be a great player if he played entry and maybe played on a different team.

its possible that SEN have already set contract conditions for if they make iceland, so they might not get ripped off as much as it might seem

Thwifo putting those fortnite building skills to use with battle sage walls

Oh sick, didn’t even realize that was added. Hiko is definitely put in a lot of clutch situations by his team (or as ppl like to say, “he’s a baiter”) so that’s probably why people expect him to be a really good clutcher

posted 6 months ago

Well researched, is there a way to check/compare clutch rates? For example I know a lot of ppl say Hiko is a great clutcher, but I feel like he’s overhyped compared to other players.

Foive quid

That’s some pretty shit logic lol but it is definitely easier to prep for bigger teams. Sentinels has so many vods of theirs out there, meanwhile bbg didn’t play on stream for maybe a month

posted 6 months ago

Where u guys getting odds from, xset v bbg odds seem so inflated lmao (I know that’s with hindsight but still)

posted 6 months ago

Off topic but viper is really unfun to play against because they buffed her in the most uncreative ways

Seems like WGS’s aggression got too predictable on haven. VS made the right adjustments over the course of the bo3 and took map control more reactively when they recognized WGS pushed somewhere else.

posted 6 months ago

WGS honestly looking too fast for VS on ascent. Especially love their attacking side with up tempo yoru plays and atypical site holds. They really are catching VS off guard.

Also WGS look super coordinated with astra, hope they can reach the level of coordination that VS once had with breach/jett

My perspective might be different as an American, but it feels like the game’s almost gone mainstream in the sense that even people who aren’t dedicated video game players are playing it. CS had high viewership but I don’t think it was as appealing (especially visually) to regular people. I think the future of the game is pretty bright.

posted 6 months ago

It’s really sad because esports is currently in a middle ground. It’s big enough to have financial incentives for scammers like Ezio, but it’s not big enough to be as regulated and protected as regular sports (not saying regular sports are perfect). I can’t say if esports will ever move out of this middle zone, but we can only hope.

SQ just don’t know how to take icebox A site without vipers pit

cant clip on the channel but on round 3 ascent there was a -00.00 sec defuse timer left???

They aren’t as reactive as NA teams and generally don’t match up mechanically either (maybe with the exception of rb and stax). They were good for their set plays but teams around the world adapted to them already cause everyone was stealing those plays.

NA isn’t “10x better” tho.

Ppl overlooking boostio tbh, that dude was pretty solid

posted 6 months ago

I think C9 has more of an advantage than people think. GenG is gonna have a hard time reading their playstyle since the C9 roster is still kinda new and they haven’t been on stream in a while. Hoping that C9 can capitalize.

TSM playing for headshot% LMAO

BBG ban Icebox; BBG pick Icebox;

I think the pick/bans need a bit of fixing lol

Not gonna make a list, but I remember sideshow or Wyatt giving a really good definition for what a tier 1 team should be

“A tier 1 should have a shot at winning a tournament”

I’m convinced this account is some college student’s AI experiment.

Soniqs still don’t have a good read on the NA play style but their mechanics are cleaaaaan

I’m not saying some opinions aren’t dumb (there’s been a lot of highly objectionable opinions on here especially since the sinatraa shit), but we gotta tolerate it cause we’re gonna keep going down a slippery slope of banning more and more opinions. This is a forum, not a circlejerk.

also lmao

posted 6 months ago

Banning people for their opinions (no matter how dumb) sounds like a pretty bad path to go down.

Think about this: people will always be scared to post controversial opinions for fear of getting banned. Imagine if every post on this forum was “SEN 2-0” and “ggwwp”.

That seems like the most plausible explanation, he always looked like a mechanically good player so this move stunned me at first
