Won-tae (김원태) was retained after entering the offseason on an expiring contract, while t3xture shared that the fifth player is currently being trialed and will be revealed later.
Additionally, there was no indication made as to who would be taking on IGL duties for the team, which had two different IGLs through the 2026 season in Lakia and Efina .

Dambi joins after a successful 2026 season with Nongshim, helping the Ascension side lift Masters Santiago, where he was named MVP. After being lauded as the best Neon player in the world for the better part of two years, Dambi and Nongshim were hit hard by the Neon nerfs earlier this year, experimenting with him in different roles before ultimately returning to the Neon-Yoru look that it used in Chile. While he has been a Neon main for most of his career, Dambi has added folds to his Duelist game, also playing Raze and Waylay, depending on the map.

/DRX colors for the first time in his career. He had been competing for Korea's first Valorant dynasty since 2021, but has made strides since he was the 19-year-old rookie on a squad of veterans. Since then, he has picked up and also dropped the IGL role, but has stayed consistent in playing the Controller role. MaKo left KRX a few weeks ago following the team's decision to release almost its entire roster. The decision came after KRX missed out on one of two Korean partnership slots for 2027, which went to Gen.G and

Both additions create some overlap in roles, with Karon and MaKo both playing smokes, while t3xture and Dambi are both well-established as Duelist players. While Gen.G did experiment with Karon in the Sentinel role to start the year, his best play has been in the Controller role. Notably missing is a player to take on the Initiator duties. Among the four announced players, there have been just two maps played as Initiator, meaning the fifth arrival will most likely be an Initiator player.

's contract extends through the 2028 season, but no indication of his Gen.G future has been made.
Since rising to the top of Pacific and VCT in 2024, Generation Gaming has seen better days. After reaching just one international event in 2025, the team missed out on the international stage entirely in 2026, with a 5th-6th finish in Stage 2 being its best placement all year.
With the two new signings and the return of Karon,
