Toosy most recently played for Havoc & Yonder Gaming Havoc & Yonder Gaming China Unranked in China's second tier, and competed during the most recent China National Tournament, which decided which Tier 2 teams would make it to the Play-Ins. H&Y went 1-5 in the group stage, picking up just three map wins, with its only win coming against last-placed LNG Esports LNG Esports China Unranked KaweNtw Martim Ferreira Xc3yk Guts Sal Heart .

While Trace has a seven-man roster, its active roster is likely to remain at five players. Substitute Abo has been on the sidelines since Stage 1 and was replaced by rookie FKEY in Stage 2. FKEY has played a flex role for Trace since his addition, filling the Duelist and Initiator roles while also occasionally playing Sage. At the time, it is not known who Toosy will be replacing in the starting lineup, or if he will be in it at all.

After finishing the Stage 2 group stage 0-5 in Group Alpha and seeding into 11th place, Trace will be going up against Tier 2 side A Team A Team China Unranked monk Wang Haoyu (王浩宇) Eren Yang Zhengwei (杨曾威) Folykiki Dingwei Wei Dingwei (魏定伟) Layla Hoàng Đức Hùng in the Play-Ins. Former VCT CN players monk , Eren , and Dingwei lead the VCNT's runner-ups.
