exposing the laziness of players and the incompetence of gm's and coaches, same old shit being recycled every year, and the players who think "i did x 2 years ago and won x 3 years ago, i dont need to change, to learn or to adapt, im him". seeing those players lose feels so good cus it shows that u cant stay static, someone younger, hungrier and better will ALWAYS take ur job, so u need to actually put in the work to keep with the times. like do these tier 1 players not realise how good their job is? they play a video game for a living, the least u can do is work hard to maintain it. for example asuna, always improves, adapts and progresses his game to stay relevant in vct in 2026. contrary to players like leaf, who is inflexible as hell, doesnt put in enough work to stay at the top, and is just overhyped as hell.

yeah for me, there's genuinely amazing talent in South America (e.g. mephisto, miradaninja, zanatsu)that gets ignored because of bums hogging spots in tier 1

jett/reyna/raze player, insane aimer kind of guy, adapts to become an initiator player, learns to midround, works on intangibles, becomes a flex player who can play every role, becomes a phoenix player, and he will definitely continue adapting and improving
leaf was originally a duelist flex, transitioned into sentinel and put a lot of work into mastering the role which helped him win sentinel of the year 2 consecutive times. he’s had good performances to show for it as well so i’m not sure why he’s being mentioned here just because he’s having 1 bad year

its more about their role in the team, cus when u play alot of agents and roles its difficult to play every different role in the team correctly map to map

there is no need to hate leaf for this, cause this is a bad example. its better to hate his gameplay, how he can only lurk and is terrible at anchoring. never plays with the pack and when he does his utility is bad. he can and did play multiple agents at a high tier but its better to hate because of what they did and not what they didn't
