Can't peek at their setup if you can't peek at them at all. I don't get why we can't do this just make them face the crowd looking away from each other rather than at them-

or how about you just do what CS TO's do and install a glass wall in between the 2 teams and it tints itself during the round and untints during freeze time? https://imgur.com/a/56Qyoax the solution is this simple bros
bro what fucking motion are we talking about? it's a glass wall you can order from some chinese factory facility for like a pack of cheetos, it is not some ground breaking innovation, the person who built it didn't get a nobel prize for it, it's something you can probably find on temu if you look hard enough
Yeah, but riot would never do that for val, MAYBE league but never Val... I was thinking of a CHEAP solution
It is cheap AF, and it is fool proof, you set it up ONCE for the entire playoffs and they do not ruin the vibe what so ever, for aesthetics buy 2 and set directly in front of the teams, no fucking way you see anything. It is the cheapest solution because the other is abandoing the ''stage in the center'' concept and making both teams face the crowd and setting a wall between the two booths so that they can't look to the side.
I mean just do what CS does, it's not shameful, they also had the same issue vct had with looking at other players. Either use tinted glass for studios or abandon the center stage as a concept and make the teams face the crowd and sit parallel to each other.
You cannot, it's basically long and tall enough for you to only peek around it if you jump up.
bro he is sitting, he won't just stand up in the middle of the round to look over it
i'm still not convinced riot has the money to implement this but since you feel so strongly i'll reluctantly agree
wdym ''if riot has the money'', that shit will definitely be one of the cheapest things they will need for a stage.
so that they can literally turn back and look at their screens? although thats far more drastic so maybe not allowed at all. this could work honestly
easier for a ref to spot and tell someone to turn the fuck back around and/or get INSTA shamed by the crowd.
Player: "Oh shit lemme see what they're doi-" gets up
booing ensues
player: ":("
i don't think u would need to get up just look back, but yeah ur right. its easier to spot and could possibly work
And a guy looking past the monitor towards the other players isn't noticeable?
...He didn't cheat and JohnQT did the same thing before him in the same Bo3...
a LOT of players also do setup peeking, it's really annoying to watch.
Check out the playercams in a good chunk of pro-games it's fucking obvious
Much more obvious and harder to do undetected.
Player: "Oh shit lemme see what they're doi-" turns around
booing ensues
player: ":("
There'd be no reason to look behind you during a round unless you're screen peeking.
crowd cheating is near impossible to fix unless u just stop playing with crowd. Not much I can do abt that
You could, not stare right at the crowd... like we do now. Ethan's thing is literally such a simple fix, you are just engagement baiting my guy. Just put a screen. It's just not big enough of a deal yet for it to be a thing.
just do a glass or reflective barrier like every other TO, it is really not that hard
