now that babybay is literally g2's best player (at least regionally so far, we know he didn't do too well internationally), who is the weak link? jaw???

I have an opinion and this could very well be wrong but I think without Yoru they have just gone back to how they were in 2024. Not bad, but not like last year where they were dominating Americas single handedly. Just a good team and that's it.
Jaw unfortunately. But also babybay just keeps leaf off his normal roles. It’s a toss up
Here’s the order from biggest to least problematic
- Jawgemo - genuinely a worthless player
- JoshRT - his comps and vetos actively grief the team. There is no replacement for his coaching however
- Babybay - decent regionally, terrible internationally, still a net negative because the alternative isn’t an average senti player, it’s leaf, and he hasn’t performed at the level that leaf would on senti.
- leaf - has had a pretty awful year by his standards, not his fault. Should be on senti
- Trent - best player on the team this year and it isn’t particularly close
- valyn - just brings more value than trent when you include igling
just put leaf back on senti babybay back on duelist and have jaw flex around
They should probably build around Leaf Trent Valyn with a new staff in 2027
I've felt at times that Jaw has gotten the short end of their style of play, but at some point he's just got to play better as the entry. It's ben frustrating for a few stages and international's now.
They can realistically have the pick of the litter of any duelist they want given the other three around them.
Bro g2 needs to kick jawg and babybay's ass and get cryo and oxy. Superteam confirmed, literally perfect.
Then Cryo will become their weakest link.
He is still learning the sentinel role outside chamber. Is lurk timings are not that good yet for him to be part of a super team. One aims better doesn’t make him super.
Nahh bro if you gonna put Cryo on senti and play against fnc Prx and other big teams in international events you are always gonna fall short given his current state.
The farther your team gets on an international stage, the more you realize that the only thing that matters is how many kills your players can get. Cryo does a pretty good job of that regardless of how bad his lurking instincts are. He would be a good asset for any team and he would slam FNC or prx
Nahh big teams know how to exploit if one player is uncomfortable.
You saw how NRG just spammed lotus C site on attack against when cryo was the anchor there.
You know how Prx runs down the same Strat and site until it keeps working. Big teams are smart to play around gaps they spot.
I’m not saying cryo is bad, he might improve but at current state jt doesn’t make sense to get him when you have 1leaf
That’s a severe under analysis of what actually happened if you think NRG was able to just spam C every round bc u think Cryo is a weak senti. That’s not what happened at all, and something like that only works bc 100t’s comp lacks any catalytic utility to set up a C trap
If we talk about him as a replacement for babybay in this meta, he only needs to learn vyse and waylay and he is pretty good imo
I’d rather put leaf back on senti role and get other flex player if you really want to replace babybay. Because if you have leaf let him own on that role.
