i recently watched a video surrounding the overall ranking of all igls in valorant of all time and it was a pretty good watch which made me think about overall popular opinions...
so im curious,
who is YOUR personal favourite IGL OF ALL TIME and why?

Me because of that time i IGLd my ranked team to a 14-12 win from a 2-10 deficit

vouch i was on the enemy team, this guy had all the reads against us and my team started to lose it
why is forsaken on 5 on the thumbnail? that boi is not that good an igl
it’s toaster 100% if we’re talking about pure calling, for a mix of both good calling and fragging valyn definitely takes the cake
who else is as good of a fragger as he is while having good calls? saadhak? maybe but his fragging is inconsistent
yeah I only put valyn in my lists to not piss people off. He's top 10 maybe, but that's pushing it. Even Bonecold is better ICL, despite that man retiring before he landed on a good team he genuinely had THE meta read. Name one meta comp from before the end of 2023 I bet you 5 dollars he either invented it or it's a remix of one of His comps.
Ethan is a #1 player of all time, but he's not anywhere near the top of the IGL list yet. even where I put him is pushing it.
Ethan has not led multiple teams of Nobodies to top cut international tournaments. I'd love to see ethan make it work without a team like the one he's got currently.
Boaster has made top cut at international while having to play with Rookie magnum, Enzo, Mistic, fucking H1ber, Moe40, Etc. He's not a shooter by any means but he's the best IGL this game has ever seen aside from FNS when it comes to calling. A good IGL makes a good roster work, a great IGL makes even the worst team imaginable work.
enzo and mistic were bad sure but i don’t think it’s fair to exclude derke and alfajer who made up for that
yeah for sure, Derke and Alfa were there for most of that time and it was a very big factor.
But boaster was able to prove that while Derke and Alfa were BIG pieces of the rosters he led. He didn't absolutely need them to have good results.
A team of:
Doma on duelist
Moe40 playing Scans
Boaster on initiator
mistic on smokes
and TSACK on Senti
Should not come close to a tournament even during the time they existed. These players were considered bad even when they were in their "prime".
even without derke, Boaster made players like H1ber, rookie Kajaak, and Veqaj all look like top level threats.
Fnatic without boaster almost definitely does 10x worse even with Kajaak and Alfa.
No one mentioning Saadhak is crazy considering how he was one of the big igls back in the day, and about to have a crazy comeback in KRU
he played good but its against sen with a sub
even if they didn't have a sub its still sen and they're currently rosterbuilding for the future so they're not expected to be good
I don't mean only atm but in the past the big 3 igls were boaster, fns and him. And everyone seems to have forgotten about him
there’s so many things i disagree and genuinely hate in this video but i liked it anyways because good content creation in this esport is practically dead and im happy to see someone putting in the effort here.
