Petition to ban the Pacific region as a whole from participating in VCT.
Can see why buzz so upset with sylvan, he made it too obvious even fr0st caught him.
Like the fact that 90% of all APAC matches are played in Korea is a joke. It’s not convenient for SEA audiences and gives Korean players way too many indirect advantages. Riot is just being a lazy ass to hold matches outside of kr because it can save costs while LCK is running.
well yeah, part of it is money, but also the arena is owned by riot in KR? to my knowledge they don’t have another one in any of the other pac countries
i think you're referring to the riot lck studio that is owned by them. vct apac is in a diff venue, like an attached theater to a mall iirc
that’d be surprising to me bc they do LEC and LTA in the same studios as vct emea/ americas respectfully

The only arena they have is in KR because most of not all sponsors are in korea.

most are too small, and in JP it's popular but not as much as korea. plus riot already has big business in korea, so it's easy for them to have it there rather than move long term

we don't have the official numbers for Chinese viewership at internationals, but I highly doubt the numbers are higher than the American and Korean audience since Chinese teams tend to bomb out early (except for EDG ofc)
show me which korean companies r sponsoring the vct other than soop (idk if they r even but even theyre focused sea)
Im pretty sure its basically only SOOP for pacific, since sponsors for each region’s arenas are different.
And SOOP provides the main arena. If pacific was sponsored by other companies from SEA that provided sufficient money and an arena, im sure they would hold at least some games in SEA.
the biggest audience of valorant is most def korean, chinese, american, and then europeans. (chinese could be #1 but their teams dont do too good)
