if we assume chron had around 0.8 rating with 125 rounds and aspas had 1.2 with 162 rounds, then:

chron with EWC would go to 1.13519218025 -> 1.13
chron without EWC would go to 1.12017416168 -> 1.12
aspas would go to 1.12569408262 -> 1.13

now including or not including EWC is a different debate (it is an international tournament that qualified teams based on VCT placements and has a bigger prizepool than Toronto)

look man, if you be honest about chronicles career, list all the international events he's attended and then list the events where hes the best player on his team, now do that with aspas

you simply cannot call urself the greatest when you're not even usually the greatest on roster, he isnt man,

ill give u champs 2021, thats my only thing, if you can come to me and say im wrong chronicle is usually the best player on his team, ill admit hes the goat, but you cant, because even if he's amazing at berlin, nats was better in the important matches vs VS and G2, tokyo and lock in was easily leo/alfa, champs 2023 was derke alfa leo, shanghai everyoen was shit but derke/alfa, champions 2024 derke better, alfa was technically better at toronto, but i wouldn't be mad if u said chron is better here. kaajak CARRIED at champs alfa was better too once u take away the easy matches chronicle farmed..

so im asking u to read what i say and make your case that chronicle is truly great, and not just a top 10 player, that has been surrounded by other top 10 players for majority of his career.. like seriously tell me im wrong about anything i said here

edit: not to mention in 2022 sheydos and nats were better the entire year, at every event M3C played

Or is aspas choosing players that cant win an international and disbands the team immediately every year, while chron has had 1 team that won an international but forced to disband because of russia complications, and then joined another team that has won 2 internationals and that he stayed with for 3 years only to join a team with one of his former teammates?

Or is aspas just having fun and playing with the people he wanted to play with like nzr, verno, coach frod, zekken, mazino, and tex?

I might not be able to name every event chron was the best player on his team, but I can name an event where aspas's team was the WORST of all the teams. MIBR is the only team I have heard of who left right after an international match, 0-2 shanghai and left without the post-match conference.

Isnt it the opposite? There is less competition for stats when you are better than your team, so you should have the higher stats. If you have to compete against players like alfajer, derke, nats, leo, then of course your stats will be less.

And there is a problem of comparing the stats of duelists and sentinels (both roles that should take most of the first engagements on both atk and def) to initiators and support. When chron is on viper, he is able to play timings for himself through lurks and hold a site with his util. Compared to when he is on initiators like sova breach and kayo, when he is creating openings for his teammates and playing retake with his util.

So not only does aspas have less star players to compete against on his own team, he is on a role that allows him to play for himself if he needs to

Personally forsaken is my goat for playing basically every agent to a pro level. But if people are trying to compare chronicle vs aspas, I have to argue the belief that a player is only as good at winning a game because they are playing well statistically compared to their team.

Honestly I hope this debate just ends, because its objectively stupid. Everyone has a different definition for the goat of valorant, and everyone is comparing players that play different roles.
