I am sick of people on this site calling anything a super team. you need at least 3 players on the team who are unarguably top 3 in their role regionally (and if not the 4th and 5th also have to be insane to make it for it)

2024 lev was not a super team
2025 t1 was not a super team

and neither was 2022 loud because Brazil was a dead region and you couldn't call them best of the best when the team was formed.

mfs call any team that performs well a super team. the only superteams that have been formed in the history of the game so far are 2023 fnatic, 2024 NRG and 2025 Vitality.

ethan was a top flex/support
marved and victor werent unarguably top players at the time but they've both shown great form before. 3 superstars + 2 good/great players

g2 wasn't formed this year, it's only based on the status of the players when the team was formed that they get labeled a "super team"

I guess since they added jawgemo you could make an argument for it but it's a little silly since no one was high on the team when they first came to tier 1 (they were expected to be good but not amazing)

I'm going by your definition "you need at least 3 players on the team who are unarguably top 3" Jawgemo, Trent and Leaf, Valyn all fit that description and honestly JonahP is probably top 3 in Americas

Imma be completely honest that definition makes way too many teams "super" as someone else pointed out 2025 SEN fits that description which personally I don't think they come close to a super team. personally I believe it should 3 top 3 in the world. The only team I can think of fitting that description is 2023 FNC

They procured the best KR players and were expected to be the forerunners of APAC throughout the year. Unfortunately only lived up to their expectation for 1/4th of the year.

g2 didn't have those when the team was formed, no one considered their players the best in their roles in early 2024. a super team is a label given to newly formed teams otherwise we'd just consider every team with good players a super team, no one thinks prx/heretics are super teams even though they arguably fit my criteria

Also "we'd just consider every team with good players a super team" we are not talking about just good players we are talking about at least 4 of the players who are top 3 in their roles in their region. G2 fits that definition at least 4 of the members are top 3 in their roles in their region and have constantly be considered a top team in the world in 2025. By your definition NRG 2024 was more of a super team then Loud or OpTic was in 2022 which is not true.

if you're just comparing their players to other Koreans than I guess you could call t1 a super team but it's not a high bar, being top 3 isn't hard when there's like 5 total relevant korean players in your role

People deluded themselves into thinking it was a superteam despite no actual igl and an inexperienced coach. They just aimed their way to the first Masters, their gameplay wasn't even good when they were winning and they got exposed and then collapsed shortly afterwards.

T1 was a superteam.
Meteor: one of the best sentinels in the world (best in 2024)
Stax: one of Korea's best IGLs
BuZz: cracked duelist who was one of the best heading into the season
iZu: unproven cracked player (who we learnt is crazy flexible)
The only question mark was Sylvan, who happened to be an incredible support player too

T1 is a superteam in that time (2025), 4 of them are literally top 3 of their own roles in the region, 3 already proven.
stax: Top 2 APAC IGL, people say f0rsaken, but PRX is a hivemind confirmed, only Munchkin is arguably above him
BuZz: Top 3/5 Duelist (You could argue something & T3xture above him, Jemkin & Meiy equal, and it was HYUNMIN debut)
Meteor: Best APAC Sentinel no debate
iZu: Good flex, turned out to be a really cracked Yoru
Sylvan: Only one that is okay-ish, did his job really well too
