Masters 2021: Farmers era
LOCK//IN: Single elim, new formed teams, first franchise tournament
Tokyo: Alfajer prime carry, valid tournament with solid teams
You cannot use "more trophies = GOAT" argument for this guy

In Tokyo PRX were forced to play with a sub in place of their best player so it's also mickey mouse
Tokyo: something(Pacific MVP) was not there, Demon1 (future champs MVP) didnt practice with the team because of VISA issues, LOUD (Americas #1) was dead with internal problems
As soon as these asterisks disappeared, FNC did worse than all 3 teams at Champions 2023
1- EG (Demon1 practiced with the team!)
2- PRX (something was there!)
3- LOUD (internal problems almost solved!)
4- FNC
You guys will really just say anything huh, Something was there against them the last match and we had a sub and still won (largely because of Chronicle), and yet I wouldn't ever say that FNC would beat PRX every time simply based off that one result, PRX are an insanely good team. Stop acting like it's so clear cut just because they won or lost one time and therefore it would happen every time, it's crazy to completely downplay people's achievements just because they didn't win every single game they've ever played. Give people their credit, it's tiring.
Nah ur lwk right
Im just hating to hate because i disagree with the chronicle goat claim
Chronicle is objectively a good player who deserved his wins I just don’t think he is good enough for goat status
That's completely fair I honestly don't think anyone has actually earned the GOAT status atm I just don't think people constantly claiming that the things he's done isn't impressive just to try to make other people seem better in comparison is a valid thing to do (Btw good luck in your next game, love DRX!)
??
Im talking about Masters Tokyo, what Champs 2025 has to do with it 2 years later with 4 different players in the matchup? Im just stating the obvious asterisks around Masters Tokyo in 2023, because many people to this day still treat that run like Fnatic was some mythical creature of a team. And im explaining why that run was not allat because all 3 of Fnatic's hardest opponents were heavily nerfed. The Champions 2023 result right after that event also contributes to the point
Champions 2025 will also have asterisks because for some reason the plague rats came back and players like Alfajer and Aspas were sick, and it does make the tournament result less impressive, it is what it is. They still won, congratulations, but its less impressive than most tournaments because of the circumstances
It's fun that statistically one of the event where aspas didnt do well, was when he won the trophy
Not referenced on Liquipedia, what is referenced is that KD of 1.07 wish is pretty low especially for a team that win the event and a duelist.
so maybe he was MVP, but if that the case, then, stat mean nothing and Aspas fan loose their sole argument to say he is goat
Anything pre-2023 is a fluke because no franchising
LOCK/IN is a fluke because single elim
Tokyo is a fluke because something wasn't there
Champs 2023 was a fluke because demon1 fell off after
Madrid is a fluke because SEN fell off immediately after
Shanghai is a fluke because TH didn't have miniboo
Champs 2024 was a fluke because EDG fell off in their region after
Bangkok was a fluke because T1 fell off after
Toronto is a fluke because TL didn't have nAts from the start
And champs 2025 will be a fluke because Gen.G aren't attending
I copy and paste the exact same post each time but for your sake the next time we talk about flukes ill add this
fine would you prefer I say EMEA had significantly less time since the PCs in EMEA would keep exploding?
Also KK refusal to learn yoru and muggle refusing to just not force a yoru comp
Every 1st masters winner of the year feels like Momentum/dream run or fluke.
