basically winning 3 events in a row or like 1st 2/3 1st 1st
something like that basically just consistent for a whole year
in the sense of a dynasty fnc > prx
but prx won more important events
3-peat in any sport is exceptionally rare. Dynasties usually only win back to back at most, then another championship sometime else
a 3 peat in the same year has never happened even in LOL
The closest ones were JDG in 2023, but they lost to Faker at Worlds semifinals

FNC is the only team to do it back to back events. Why won’t Prx be considered in same conversation if they do it back to back. And not to mention it would include champs.
For me, yes. If Prx manage to win champs they are a dynasty. They have almost always been top 4 at international events. And would have 2 trophies to show for it. A champs trophy and masters 2 (not masters 1 which only features 8 teams).

The only other argument is Fnatic, and considering both teams have been international staples, A champs + masters back to back > lock in + masters back to back.
Dynasty in an esport like Valorant feels rare since there are so many variables and changing factors like agents, map-pool and certain map details if they get changed patch to patch - teams like Astralis in CS had a solidified dynasty as they won multiple trophies in multiple years. I do recall Pansy claiming FNC's dynasty started after they won back-to-back trophies in Tokyo and LOCK-IN as a one-liner. So by that logic, PRX's dynasty would start after a back-to-back win especially if it's one that claims both of the major trophies in Valorant. Success across multiple years is a bit more rare with SEN being the only team to really win a trophy across multiple years. So, PRX's dynasty would definitely start if they can win multiple trophies and it would be more solidified if they do it over multiple years.
the thing is valorant is a decently new esport, especially if you consider franchising as the start of actual vct
so it’s just that teams have had less time than other esports to establish dynasties, which is why fnatic’s back-to-back is even in the conversation + why sentinels are still relevant
another thing is the meta changes, for a team to consistently be good at every meta shift is very impressive. case study: PRX stage 1
I was also going to bring up this point and I'm glad you did. Valorant has only existed for 5 years and the franchise era has lasted 3 seasons. The teams in the first 2 years of Valorant have changed a fair bit. No OPTIC, Gambit or Acend to build a dynasty with and FPX is now a Chinese-roster team. As years go on, I think we will get some dynasties or at least fairly strong legacies. In some respects, I think if there isn't a clear dynasty in Valorant, it keeps the esports entertaining. Astralis dominating CS for 4 years was amazing to witness, but I can only imagine it felt painful as an esport fan for any of the other teams knowing your team can't outbrain Astralis.

if we add the logic that heretics dont consider ewc on the same level as regionals
if they continue being extremly dominant next year then maybe (winning next masters and regionals)
if they win champs they would be in the same status as prime fnatic, but the game is still really young (compared to lol or cs) so they wouldnt be a dinasty just yet
