I feel like they were mid in the other events but they weren't this bad tf

0-4 is crazy for a region

their opponents: PRX, T1, MIBR, and NRG

all are really good teams

MIBR and NRG. As NA andy, do you hear yourself?

EDG had a close game and the wind didn't blow their way (NRG's comeback was crazy though)
DRG has a sub and an active communication problem because of it (and still almost won)
XLG got Paper Rex
BLG's just dogshit idk what happened to them they massively dropped the ball

Less of BLG being shit and more of Aspas being back in champs form + Verno back to Stage 1 performance

#7

that is not an excuse with their roster quality bro. a lot of things looked subpar

BLG lost a lot of momentum, bail said that during their press conference

they always lose momentum for fucks sake. i still believe in them but how many more times is this going to happen?

is it perhaps bc CN ends early?

Yeah lemme know what any other team could do with Verno going +15 and Aspas going +11 in first and second map respectfully

just because MIBR overperforms stat-wise does not mean that BLG will intrinsically play worse. you cannot tell me that the BLG we saw in playoffs and stage 2 would've gotten their backs blown out the way they did

Not only is it one game but it is also the game where two of MIBR's best players are popping off lmao, also your statement of "MIBR overperforms stat-wise" is just stupid, if a dude is dropping 2-3ks each round lemme know how you play against that.

make adjustments? change the calling? BLG literally looked worse in every metric outside of player performances. also my whole point was that BLG dropped the ball, not that they're a bad team. you are tweaking bro

BLG's just dogshit

And don't put some passive aggressive excuse to get out of that lmao. Also your statement of BLG not looking worse in player performances is just crazy lmao, Whzy their best player was at the bottom of the leaderboard, massive underperformance. 0/8

They massively dropped the ball

reading comprehension?
"BLG literally looked worse in every metric OUTSIDE of player performances" is not me saying that they looked better in player preformances. can you READ??????

Alrigh that's js me not reading that right but even then you are still calling BLG shit lmao and you saying "they massively dropped the ball" after saying they are shit is just a passive aggressive way of implying that lmao.

I think the point is that at this level, especially considering BLG's roster quality, strong individuals on the other team shouldn't be a problem anymore. Sure, it'll make the game harder to win but with players on the caliber of whzy, rushia and nephhh, losing that badly due to opponent players being in "good form" shouldn't be an excuse at all. BLG was just bad today and couldn't make the right reads.

LITERALLY. I ALWAYS hate the narrative of "this guy activated ggs". if they're getting destroyed by a ONE MAN ARMY at CHAMPIONS then there's not other way to put it outside of them objectively playing like dogshit

For real. I don't care how good Verno and aspas are, the BLG players are just as good if not better and there is no reason for them to not clear MIBR dominantly. They simply played badly today and that's that.

I mean you could say the exact same thing about TL but none of you guys will blame it on having bad reads. Always just "off day" or "enemy team life game"

Why wouldn't we blame it on bad reads?

Because my feed wouldn't be filled with "DRX group stage merchants" then

I feel like people in this thread are seriously underselling the fact that EDG hard threw their game against NRG. Sure NRG are a good team but they're not so good that EDG couldn't beat them. EDG do not look fully comfortable on stage right now and their best players aren't in 'trophy winning' form. I'm still not sold on Jieni7 double duelist experiment either.

DRG overperformed considering they have 0 practice with Demon1. They had so many chances to close both maps but sold crucial rounds.

XLG are a good team but they're not a trophy contender team and they got PRX first so yeah.

BLG are a strange team. Even when they play well in China I'm never convinced that they'll do good internationally.

Yeah for some reason I too never feel great about BLG regardless of their seeding. I think XLG has a higher chance of staying in the tourney than BLG

BLG right now similar to rrq.
Perform in regional flop in international.
Now they meet at lower.
Would be fun to watch 😄😆

Except one lost convincingly to an established powerhouse while the other was curb-stomped by an otherwise subpar team
