unfortunately if g2 wins this trophy BABYBAY leapfrogs him for the no. 1 spot oat
I don’t think so. He was never viewed as the best player on his team in any of his 3 grand finals appearances, nor was he close to being the best at the tournament
But he would be the only player to win champs twice and since champs > masters the only person who'd be able to claim to have better accolades is Chronicle (depends how you weigh things). Also whilst he wasn't the best player in 2023 EG he was the 2nd best on the team, in this current G2 lineup he's definitely the best or 2nd best player on the team.
Personally I’d weight Champs and Masters as very close to the same. But also, I think Jawg being 2nd best on those EG teams is actually arguable, he wasn’t statistically great at either Masters Tokyo or Champs 23, just solid. Same can be said for Bangkok, he was 4th best on his team in rating. Trent and Leaf have been better.
My point is, he’s never been close to being the best player at any tournament he’s played in, not even on his own team. He’s just a good player who’s been on great rosters
We have people calling Chronicle GOAT for winning Fluke//in against 2 rookies + aspas and Less with serious health problems, Masters Flukyo against EG with VISA problems (Demon1 didnt practice with the team), PRX without something(Pacific MVP) and LOUD(americas champions) with internal problems, Masters Dinosaur in 2021 (shit was so free Redgar was winning playing Reyna on Haven, REDGAR)
so yeah, any ACTUAL World Champion becomes minimum top 5 with 2 Champions trophies
