I don't think they're that good, but they've definitely improved over the course of the year, and I think they'll get a good placement this champs.
Honestly sen is hated a lot because of the fans, but they aren't as bad as everyone says, I personally think they are a team that can consistently have decent placements in internationals, and have a chance to go on a run (though not as likely compared to other top teams you mentioned)
when it comes to talking about sen, china is a free region who can be apparently farmed by everyone, but when we talk about strongest regions people put china top 2. Absolutely shameless bait

toronto: prx>fnc>wol>g2>gen.g>tl (tl unluckily got grouped though due to visa issues leading to loss against blg)
paris: fnc/th/g2/sen/prx>tl
6th best team is till a champs contender btw. If there are 6 teams that could win champs. One of them will finish 6th, doesn’t mean they couldn’t also finish 1st like any of the others.
And I personally wouldn’t put the China farmers above them. They had a pretty easy group and almost lost to G2 Babybay’s first game. We will see how they do in playoffs.
They lost to KC with a tier 2 player playing his first game who didn't even get double digits on 2 maps 😹
The game meant absolutely nothing to them. You could tell they were playing very relaxed and lose calling which multiple streamers commented on in the first map.
Bangkok: had relatively close game vs EDG (at least the first map). Eliminated Sentinels that some were rating as top 4 team heading into it. Eliminated by G2 who were arguably the best team in the tournament minus the finals.
Toronto: no nAts vs BLG and still close. Rolled MIBR. Close game vs PRX and almost eliminated them and barely lost in the overtime (even if PRX was chocking).
So those alone show that they are international level team. They are consistently beating or having close games against decent teams. And I think you could even argue that they would have been fine in playoffs as well, but have faced strong teams or just got unlucky in groups.
On top of that they now have Trexx instead of kamyk/Serial. That is a big upgrade in floor and ceiling. Liquid roster is actually pretty damn stacked. Keiko is on insane form, Kamo can pop off and is flexible, nAts IGLing is pretty good and his firepower/impact is very high, Patitek has been playing pretty well and Trexx is very good player in many levels.
I'm not saying they will win Champions or make it far, but they definitely have the potential to do bunch of damage and go for a run. I believe that Liquid wouldn't be underdog vs anyone outside of like the best team of each region.
After watching Kamyk play and NEVER FUCKING CLEARING corners, I must agree they are pretty much an upgraded version of themselves now

Yeah I think so. Like I said they have often lost against the best teams. And even these top teams can have off days. With some luck in bracket/games I think they could have made it pretty far. Even more with this current roster where they replaced their weakest link with player of insane potential.
