Nah they absolutely do matter, otherwise bias and “aura” takes over
Stats favor passive players, eye test favors aggro players
You need to take both into account
A player getting an ace in one round and no kills for 3 rounds after is extremely memorable and looks amazing in the eye test, but a player that gets 1 kill 4 rounds in a row is probably way more impactful but not something that is noticeable on the eye test
which is why dumbi is dog when looking at the stats AND through the eye test

your point is correct stats favor passive players eye test favors aggro players but getting a pick 4 rounds in a row is noticeable by eye test eye test is better cause passive players also can benefit from it via good play getting aggro when needed which shows good play you see more with eye test they aren't even eye test tier 1 stats tier 2 aggro play is valued more (lurks,entrypulling picks out of thin air>contact,info on the other side of the map) cause its harder to do easier to mess up and it can be messed up even when you do it perfectly while passive play gets minimal consistent value both are needed to win a match aggro gets more value when not messed
so via eye testing seeing a player gets a ace one round and not get a kill after for 3 rounds is more important to the match trade all you want if u lose the round that is zero value while a ace is 100% value on that round
pop offs will always be memorable and for good reason a players ability to pop off and solo carry a round saving ults and util and eco is much more important then trading 4 rounds in a row you are expected to trade no coach goes yeah el diablo the plan on this round is you get 5 a coach can put a player in set up in good spot to trade 4 rounds in a row both are having GOOD impact but thee eco boost alone makes the ace more valuable
if someone eye tested sacy in 2024 they would say he was shit, and he never top fragged, so the scoreboard andys would shit on him too
only having unlocked ball knowledge will tell you if a player is good or not
sacy being highly rated in 2024 is cause people think he is good in comms (its cope and they have no clue)

yeah sacy could have been the most mid player ever on SEN 2024 roster but he gets perma glazed because surely a trophy winning player can’t fall off, so now he’s in the goat convo
nah sacy had great util in 2024 and always was never set up for easy kills. ball knowers could see how important he was to the team's success despite not being super flashy. (im not saying he was elite or anything though just a solid maybe even good player)

The best way to know if a player is a good duelist is RAZE. There is a BIG difference between a good duelist and a jett abuser
If he is a good duelist, he needs to be good with raze.

Thats why I think he is undoubtely the best player in the world. If RIOT by any means decides to nerf jett and shift the meta we prolly not gonna even hear names like cned and tenz again :>
