last 4 grand finals apperances (the 4 grand finals that Asia has won):
- EMEA: 3/4 grand finals (Masters Shanghai, Champs Seoul, Masters Toronto)
- PAC: 3/4 grand finals (Masters Shanghai, Kickoff Masters Bangkok, Masters Toronto)
- CN: 1/4 grand finals (Champs Seoul)
- AMER: 1/4 grand finals (Kickoff Masters Bangkok)
and you may think Americas is dogshit after looking at that^. but Top 4 Stats in the last 4 tournaments (the 4 tournaments Asia has won):

They did prepare for sunset and pearl. They just prepared a dated Viper comp and a wrong double duelist respectively instead of like, playing Chamber/Vyse on both. Which given their ascent is now their best map? Is pretty troll in it's own right.
Sunset they looked pretty solid so that's fair but didn't alfa literally say they only had prep for one side of pearl and like one scrim? Granted they did insanely well all things considered but if they pushed prx on pearl which was one of their best maps so well with such less prep then they arguably could've taken it to at least game 5 if they had done more prep. Of course it's easier to say this in hindsight and they were in the lowers so they probably had no time.
They did probably have very little time, which is why it's ridiculous to overcook instead of just playing variants of your ascent comp...

nah id be off Valorant if Asia became the best region of Valorant that soon. they would have to be so dominant for the next year/two for that to happen (them becoming the best of all time) that region competitiveness (Valorant's main purpose to watch) wouldnt be a thing anymore.
