So, I absolutely suck in valorant but thats alright. But my worst aspect is aim: even if im close range i cant even hit.

Grind Range and dms, do 15times Hard bots and put urself goals how many u wanna hit (increase regularly to progress) and then queue 20dms per day (~3h) preferably without background noise so u can concentrate but music on a lower volume is fine, that’s the fastest way to get better, if u have more time grind more dms but u can switch them up w tdms
It’s literally 3 1/2h, u can make a break afterwards, u don’t have to grind 10h a day, the difference is most ppl are pleased after 1-2 dms and they won’t see any huge improvements fast
well, even if it's a hobby, if you wanna get good at something, you put the work in, there is no easy way out that doesn't come with a cost
actually if u wanna become better than others u have to spend more time than others, do u think ppl like Aspas and other pros actually spawned that good? they jsut played more than everyone else simply
Bro u have free will, if u wanna invest the time do it, I’m not fucking forcing u, if u wanna stay trash Iam the last one to stay in ur way, he asked for advice, I gave him the best possible advice, only with time comes skill
it's definitely overkill to be spending 3 and a half hours a day just on deathmatches for someone who isn't even level 20 (probably hasn't even hit 100 hours in game). I would recommend doing bots, starting with easy or medium if you think hard bots are too fast to keep up with, and maybe 3 deathmatches maximum if you're just starting out. you should still spend time getting very familiar with the maps and abilities, best done in ranked. don't give up your fun in the game just for some aim training.
aim trainers for me were a much more reliable time sink for improvement - past 5 dms a day I saw no improvement
And then grind normal ranked and focus on ur gameplay and not on the actual rank, over time it will get better
It depends but generally 0.08 on 1600dpi is used by a lot of players and pros aswell or 0.1 1600dpi
just asking, since i dont have a mouse with a button to change dpi, how do i change the dpi using settings?
it depends, if you have a traditional office mouse (like i did for a while), you can't change sensitivity other than in-game sens and the computer's settings.
However, you might be able to download software that allows you to change your DPI. My mouse is logitech, so I use Logi Options+ to change DPI because I also don't have a DPI button.
will some generic office logitech mouse work or is it specialized for gaming mouses only?
I don't know what you mean by generic office logitech mouse, when I say office mouse I mean these:
https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/BYUAAOSw0GtkU4BD/s-l1200.jpg
(yes, I used to play on this)
I only use the M325 because i had it already
sorry, didn't know the model. did some digging myself and it seems like the m90 (which im using) wont work unfortunately. it appears to have a set dpi of 1k but when i analyze it myself it usually is around 200
unlucky :(
yeah set dpi mouses can sometimes be very off in terms of what they claim to be
I would get another mouse, i think my m325 is very acceptable, you can get it for like $12-15 on ebay
i'm broke ok
Here's a formula to convert sens at 1600dpi to other dpi's:
Example numbers:
Original DPI: 1600
In Game Sens: .10
New DPI: 1000(or what ever dpi you're converting to)
New In Game Sens = Original DPI In Game Sens/New DPI
New In Game Sens = 1600.10/1000=160/1000=.16
So basically if you can convert .10 sens at 1600 dpi into 1000dpi and you'd get .16 sens
As the guy b4 me said, download the software for ur mouse and change it by hand, but I think standard setting for mousesis either 1000dpi or 800dpi
I'd start at something like .20 1600 dpi and then slowly go down until you hit .10 and then if it feels too slow at or fast .10 go up or down by .05 at a time until you find a comfortable sens. Also, sometimes higher sens feel better on one day and lower feels better the next so its good to adjust it a little daily when you're warming up.
low sens is for shitters anyone can succeed with it. use high sens to prove you actually have good aim
You can easily get better with just the range instead of mindlessly spamming DM
Just doing 10-15 mins on practice bots, one taps only with guardian/sheriff/vandal will do wonders for your aim helped me alot as a immo player
G2 Valyn has an in depth guide on this if you want various exercises in the range especially for close range tracking: https://youtu.be/zPtCWSGWEd4?si=odvehh7hgvFowe3b
This is only warmup for Valyn, he isn’t doing this to get better, he’s alr an incredible player and is using his time for strats, scrims and gameplanning, this guy is trying to get better and u only get better when u invest the time
Practicing dms and aimlabs is important but start from the beginning. Understand that aiming is a motor skill—it involves both your brain and muscles working together.
Make sure you're fully focused so your brain can process where the enemies are, and sit in a proper position so your arms and wrists can move accurately.
Before suggesting anything I would like to know what exactly do you suck at, like do you get shit on when holding an angle or is it peeking an angle or maybe you just miss alot of shot, etc
All of this matters because maybe you are spending time to improve but can't see any result, like going in range and practicing hard bots won't help much if the actual problem is holding an angle
Also what rank are you?
hey so first of all: miss a lot of shots. definitely get shit on when doing both. and i dont practice much in the range. and also im level 15 so i cant even play ranked lol
Honestly just from my personal experience of valorant being my first PC game I would say, stand still and just shoot at the body or just crouch and shoot. Worked for me
You can play on your advantage, if you have a good game sense use it to plante spike totally open on a free site and play postplant
would recommend nAts/something routine
easy to follow and for bad aimers it will be a huge improvement imo
so can yall tell me what to improve: https://tracker.gg/valorant/profile/riot/HatsuneMiku%232055/overview? just wondering what i have to work on
Basically practice mouse control (ingame or out of game trainers, aimlabs or kovaaks) and then spend time in the game and try to face as many enemies as possible aswell as building game knowledge over time by understanding timings and util and general gunfights
ur new to the game, remember ur playing for fun, give yourself time to get used to it and you can start aim training later when it's your main thing to improve on. now just focus on overall game awareness
This is my routine that made me improve. It's not time consuming, good warmup and my aim has become way more consistant.
First do one round of dm. It helps you wake up and warms the wrist up a little bit and after that hop into range and shoot bots for 10 minutes. Don't shoot them fast, take your time to make sure you don't over or under flick, make sure every bullet connects. As you get more comfortable you will be able to shoot and kill bots faster.
hey chat so i recently became lvl 20 and got iron 2. should i care about these stats? https://tracker.gg/valorant/profile/riot/HatsuneMiku%232055/overview. it seems pretty bad for the first matches but has been improving. should i care about em or just play the game?
