VALORANT lacks superstar players like zywoo or donk. What do you think are the reasons behind this? This clearly hampers its viewership.

the problem though is if you show personality you get fined
also content isn't good enough to show personality purely onstage
i think the sheer unpredictability of the game really holds back any potential superstars, the ability for any team to lose to anyone else on a bad day/ good day for the enemy team. it's extremely hard to maintain consistency and stay on top, especially given that the game regularly gets patches massively effecting the meta
Riot changes the meta too often. Also, individual skill matters less than being good at whatever the meta agent in your role is in whatever specific meta is currently going on. Aspas and derke less and Alfajer are all goat front runners because killjoy/viper/jett have been meta for nearly valorant’s lifespan.
Guys like Kangkang, Demon1, aspas are definitive superstar players with very high highs but it's hard to keep an era with the game changing so much
Demon1 had one good year and fell off idk if thats considered a superstar player
main reason is Riot only have 3 major international event so not every same team make it to event so that's why
We won't have a Faker level of dominance player until Valorant adds enough agents to draft like MOBAs to get over the constant meta changes as Valorant, opposing to Counter-Strike, has different comps and proposals for each rotation map (or we can Summoner's Rift this mf and make every game take place at Ascent lol).
It same like league of legends, cause by meta changing. Only Faker can maintain the consistent and that's why hes GOAT. Imagine you are sentinel player and solo site, enemy throw a lot of color flash, stun, silent to you. You can do nothing on this. And vlr still a very new competitive game, it take sometime. At first many CS player become pro player in vlr, now there are a lot of new talent player rising and it will be more and more in future.
he was considered GOAT when he started to play by korean caster cause shit he was doing no one was doing at that time

My brother, GOAT = Greatest Of All Time. Wdym when he joined SKT then consider GOAT. There are a lot of player doing crazy play when they just join the league but why Faker only the GOAT because of the consistent performance. Imagine if after one season donk performance drop badly will he still in the consideration of GOAT ? Why not demon1 GOAT ? he do so much crazy stuff, incredible play and get the world champion, but now he cant perform in tier 1 vct so people say he washed.
the things people aren't thinking about is that valorant is still a very young esport. the top tier pro skill level is still raising dramatically with every passing year. the shit Optic did with yay and LOUD in general back in the day was ahead of its time, but nowadays every contending top team has more or less figured out how to progress their macro, micro, and pure individual play
Ignore the copers talking about changing meta. It's because it's only been five years, so we're still not at a state where there's a GOAT who's cracked long-term, consistent success.
I mean look at SEN vs FNC 2021. That gameplay would be called tier 3 glue if we watched it live today. Give it several more years, until someone like forsaken or kangkang or alfa or a new player we haven't seen yet has 3 trophies, then the superstars will be clear.
Also yes many pros just don't have that big stage persona
