this tournament seems to be the craziest to predict yet in vct

  • largest meta shift we've had before a tournament
  • last time with this format both finalists came from the swiss stage
  • emea has way less time than everyone else
  • americas teams are all very close and anyone could win on any given day
  • xlg seems like the only contender from china
  • pacific rankings completely shifted since last tournament
  • china and pacific have won each of the last 3 tournaments
  • emea hasn't won anything since masters tokyo but TH and FNC look to be back in form

im personally rooting for mibr and prx but what are ur thoughts?

mibr is clearly behind g2 and sen

if u look at the americas games they are all incredibly close and mibr vs g2 was literally
13-10
13-15
10-13
8-13
these teams are all neck and neck pretty much

Even if the match scores look close, its really not. G2 is 5-2 vs them in stage 1 and vs sen, they got stomped. Mibr might improve in toronto but from what we have seen so far, its clear theres a gap between them.

yeah, i really think its a small gap due to how close the scoreboard showed their games did to be, but unfortunate hav to agree on mibr relying on aspas +1, hope they fix their macros mistakings this international

Really? With the tejo nerf coming and sunset in, the gap closes

"EDG got sent to the lower bracket and none of the Korean teams look good enough to win! G2 can't choke because it's so free!"

MIBR, PRX and whoever 1st seed EMEA ends up being (I'm betting FNC) are probably most likely imo, but G2/RRQ/XLG could definitely do it with enough work, they're just not as advantaged going in.

TL or SEN have good chance to go deeop but probably not to win.

its most likely gonna be heretics and g2 heretics is still the best team in emea even if fnatic beat them today the teams you mentioned above can only make deep runs because if you want to win a international event you have to be the best team in your region which clearly mibr and prx is not

MIBR and PRX are looking likely to be the strongest teams in their region on the new patch though, that's my point.

PRX tbf was already a few rounds off being in finals with an advantageous matchup vs GENG, they could've feasibly won in region if Something was a bit more disciplined in like 2 rounds of the entire Bo5.

And heretics was rinsed a bit too hard for me to reasonably consider them still better than FNC.

tbf, they did the same to FNC the last time they played, feels like a form on the day diff between the 2 right now

Unfortunately that's impossible, you idiot, because teams you said are on the Swiss stage.

Monyet, xffero, Kushy has been playing in international, and i believe Crazyguy as well from his past experience in CSGO.

Btw what a banger to me would be MIBR vs RRQ (Aspas vs Jemkin)

either CN or EMEA, I predict that both GEN.G and PRX choke in swiss stage + RRQ doing a Shanghai FNATIC

  • XLG has to likely play without YOU due to him being under investigation, so I doubt CN has any ground to stand on this event unfortunately
