Now that the recency bias is gone can we all finally agree that EDG's champs run was the most unimpressive shit ever.

Let's start in the group stage

Game 1 they won against an EMEA 4 seed. Probably the 2nd weakest team in the tournament.
Game 2 They lose to G2
Game 3 They win against PRX. Champs 2024 PRX was easily some of the worst valorant we have seen played from them.

Playoffs:
Game 1 is against Trace who fluked there way to playoffs
Game 2 Won against Americas 4 seed
Game 3 They won against LEV who were the most inconsistent team in the whole world. If LEV actually played like how they were playing in Americas playoffs EDG would have lost badly.
Game 4 They would have lost if TH weren't chokers. But they did play well here.

Taking all of this into consideration EDG only won 1 game against an actually good team. They were lucky enough to not have to play the actual good teams like GENG, FNC, DRX. They would have lost to any of these teams as they couldn't even beat G2. This is easily the most Mickey mouse tournament win since franchising

Even though core of EDG can be trusted to make international but they are never gonna be the same without s1mon losing your best support and other CN teams also stepping up to their A game there will be a time where they might not just qualify for any international

G2 Coach JoshRT praise EDG cause when after G2 played he said they were not same team who they scrim in shangai They were very good at mid rounding and anti strating teams. Only thing they were bad at was anti eco.
