nah, them losing to G2 twice and especially the 11-2 choke on ascent. That's not aura

But allat and then the crazy 3-0 stomo at the lowers. Mind you the biggest aura games are these rematches that actually matter. And i think the 11-2 choke also added more importance to the rematch too

It really doesn’t. You can put any dork in front of a camera, have them take 10k photos, edit the better pics, and post it, and you have the aesthetic of ‘aura’ or anything you want.

Only marketing relevance here is orgs using the term aura on social media (for the braindead TikTok users) and watching people fight over who has and does not have Aura.

Fnatic in 2023 proved that doesn't work. Your stars have to be likable, but I guess that's a hard ask for socially awkward gamers. Maybe I'm too used to real sports.

Nah ur right they just don't like it when you call it aura
better term would be star quality or something

No, he is right, but calling it aura just makes it sound dumb.
Having a marketable "face" of your team who has both in game skills and out of game likeable personality really helps attract viewers and build a lasting fanbase. Call it whatever you want, but players with that "aura" are the ones who make or break fanbases.
Example of a player without any real marketability is Leo. I see his in game skill, but he's such a boring person out of game with no real gimmicks that make him super likeable or distinguishable as a player. Opposite end of the spectrum is prime EG Demon1, someone who pulled in viewers for their skill and personality.

Riot needs to push for more faces of the league. Because casual viewers don't fw anyone in emea like they do with TenZ.
