Meanwhile aspas must have the most inflated reputation of all time, sure hes one of the best duelists but people acting as if hes done something game changing over the most mid clips just because its aspas is so cringe. im not denying that leo is a statistical darling but rating favors players who play further back way more than it favors duelists
just a fact, if you cant understand the nuance of statistics why debate? im not denying leo is good but using the rating argument when comparing a initiator who plays far back in the pack and only takes isolated winnable 1v1s vs a duelist is not how that works
again, aspas has also done it without superteams
Yk the initiator and like the rest of the team is literally there to set up the duelist for the opener, its not like hes diving in 1v3 every round winning it lmao. Saying duelist is "harder" than initiator because initiators play far back is just a below-diamond self report

you need to just step back and understand that leo's rating is disproportionately inflated vs aspas' rating. you can say he sets up the duelist it's true, but at the end of the day Leo only takes insanely winnable duels, thats why his KDR is always amazing. He's a no risk player, and thats fine, but somebody has to take the risk, you cant just favor someone because they play a position that doesn't need risk
there is no stat for space created or gravity, aspas literally has a gravity that other teams will avoid. you can't put LEO solo on an angle and win a round but you can do that with aspas

Leo has the ratings and the stats because he plays his role PERFECTLY with literally no other player in his role (or across the game) that comes close to him, whereas theres multiple duelists who entries just as well as aspas albeit not as consistently (zmjkk, derke, jaw).

He wasn’t among the top 3 players at Champs. Not even the best initiator, as Cauanzin had a better performance in that tournament. Don’t be fooled by inflated stats due to an easy group stage. FNC’s performance against top-tier teams was quite disappointing.
